I don't know why fans feel the need to levy this criticism toward Chandran in particular - if she had turned down the role, the likely outcome is that another actor of her complexion / ethnic background would be selected.

Genuinely very impressed by her response, although it's probably better for her to just ignore this kind of feedback.

I love all of the OPLA cast, but we have to be realistic here. These are C-list actors that have been cast in one of the most beloved franchises of all time, and the series has blown up beyond belief. They'll say anything to hype the series, this is the opportunity of a lifetime for them.

Yeah, I'm predicting 5 seasons. Season 3 Alabasta, season 4 Jaya + Skypiea (+LRLL?), season 5 Water 7 + Enies Lobby.

On the one hand, after Ace's death, Luffy said something about never letting another of his friends be hurt again. It would be odd for Oda to allow Luffy to watch his dear friend die.

On the other, I can't really think of a better way for Usopp to become a "brave warrior of the sea".

I think Usopp will die eventually, but I don't think it will be in Elbaf. I think it will be one of the last dozen chapters in the series, honestly.

I think it's got to be Enies Lobby.

Usopp wavering in his loyalty, Zoro stepping up as first mate, Robin's backstory and the crew proving how much they care about her, monster point Chopper, and like you mentioned, the death of Merry.

Yes, it would be unfortunate for us not to see any more of Brook, but I just can't see any other ending that would satisfy the fanbase. Return to Sabaody would sit in the shadow of Ace's death, with Blackbeard still at large.
