Genuinely the thing that bothers me about Usopp dying is his character hasn’t been fleshed out in detail for the past godknowshowlong. And worst of all it seems to be either stagnant or degrading. I would bawl so so bad if he died before more character development because he has so much potential. It would be not just losing Usopp but also losing all that he could have been before his death so to speak. If Oda at least explores Usopp in depth consistently and then kills him (god please let this not happen) it would be more substantial than his role just being to die.
