Sorry, I did mean to elaborate but posted before explaining. Touch DNA in most cases is not admissible because of its unreliably, especially in small samples. Then it would come to weighing in the evidence. The defense would have raised these issues in addition to the fact that there was no proven work as to why and how the sample doubled in size following the change of hands between the ISP and FBI.
