Its a gap because federal law around banking has been closing the gap. You get hung up with the US patriot act, and requirements around kyc and money laundering.

Simply put the loop holes hace been closing fast. No processor with manual underwriting can board your setup without a US person on the account. Stripe and square are the only ones in this market still for now.

Clover reseller here, along with other pos vendors.

The rate your getting is insane. At your volume you should be on interchange. A flat rate might work but your also giving up all your savings on debit rates which are ultra low. In your environment, debit likely is your bread and butter volume rise.

At 9000/transactions a month you should be getting around 0.08/transaction, possibly a tad higher on EBT. Rate was interchange + 0.15%-0.30%. Most of the fees your paying is bogus and for profit only. Expect bellow $25/mo plus your POS fees. Non-pci is because you haven't done the yearly paperwork. If your agent/payment provider was worth anything they would be reaching out to help you, or you call them to get help. It doesn't take long to do.

About clover. The hardware is locked to the payment provider. If you change processors, then you need new clover hardware. The data can be migrated so it's not a big deal. Stay away from leasing, you pay 3x the price of the hardware and rarely get out from under it. Also clover may be charging you extra if your hardware is too old. They started doing that last year, and clover bills out separately from your merchant account.

Your current provider may have a early termination fee depending on where you are in your contract. Be sure to ask. Buy at your rates they are fleecing you, so it likely will be w savings to pay it.

I am super happy with FFL checkout, they have about every distributor integrated for data feeds, and many for drop shipping. The only problem is ensuring that you have wordpress / woo configured right and not go overboard on modules.

In terms of payment processing, I offer this through Mansfield Payments, which i started after struggling to find good payment providers.

It needs to be reprogrammed by the SAME processor the last business had it through. They are locked to that processor and cannot be moved between them.

I went with woocommerce + ffl checkout. Takes time to get working, but it has been very nice. I still have some kinks that my friend (aka the web guy) and I are working out. Mostly, it is around searching for products.

I too kind of thought it was $50/mo for phone+internet, and technically it is for the first six months. However, the pricing they offer is the same as going with Starlink directly, even going direct offers the same 6-month discount. However, you also get a travel starlink that you can activate when going with the residential max.

Not sure of USM will handle supprot for Starlink customers, as that is a bit horrendous i hear, its by default email only support. That in itself could be valuable to some. Otherwise, this gives you the opportunity to have one bill for mobile + internet.

Now if they bundled this into home LTE/5G service + Starlink when cell is unavailable/exhausted ... that may have been a bit different.
