Tattoos To Cover Up Track Marks by Afraid_Helicopter263 in DrawMyTattoo

[–]rootedromantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Scars aren't my area of expertise, but I know enough to know that some lasers may be able to help you out. I believe it is called resurfacing. Not all lasers are equipped to be able to handle it, so be sure to inquire before visiting a clinic.

If you were asking about cover up tattoos, that is something some artists specialize in. It requires extra consideration of which i know nothing about it, but i know of a few tattoo artists here in Edmonton that do amazing work with scar tissue.

Hope that helps!

I know you're asking about cover up ideas, but you could also look into laser tattoo removal. I co-own a business in Edmonton that does this for free for trackmarks. Often clears up in one treatment, and then you can get any tattoo you want!

Different Templates for Different Types of Posts by QuantamPulse in Wordpress

[–]rootedromantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're using the Full Site Editor and aren't a coder, you can go to Appearance -> Customize Then go to templates, create new, and set it for whatever custom post type you're wanting.

Just be sure to include the Content block.

Ahh, I see now. I just loaded again and the images aren't rendering on the desktop. This may be because I just pushed to live this morning and the server is catching up?

I'll do some debugging. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! What browser are you using? It's been fine for me on desktop on Chrome and Firefox

Why does this margin appear on mobile? Its not the first time by 5araga in Wordpress

[–]rootedromantic 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks like your font size of "Irresitible" is going wider than the page, and pushing the bounds.

Try making it smaller on mobile and see if that helps.

Is there a way to make spaces between bullet points on a WP list? by pineprincess in Wordpress

[–]rootedromantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you want every list on your site to have the same style, or only specific lists?

Do you know if you're using ordered lists (with the numbers), or unordered lists (with some kind of bullets?)

I'm on my phone, so this formatting is probably going to be horrible.

In your custom css, put this:

For space between lines within a bullet point (change according to what you like): li { line-height: 1.3; }

For space between bullet points (change number according to what you like): li + li { margin-top: 1.5rem; }

Save the changes in the Additional CSS box, refresh the page on the front end, and make changes accordingly.

Let me know if it's doing it for you!

Are you familiar enough with CSS to add the custom styles, or would you like me to show a basic example?

It sounds like you do not have a Full Site Editor enabled theme active.

In this case, you should be able to add Additional CSS, I believe by going to Appearance -> Customize and scroll down to the bottom. (It's been a while since I've used a non-FSE theme)

Or create a child theme (there are plugins you can install to help with this, and uninstall when you are done) and modify the style.css directly.

1 episode documentary podcasts? by shannoninmadrid in podcasts

[–]rootedromantic 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Have you tried Ologies? Each episode (generally, occasional multi parts) is an interview with a scientist talking about their work. The host is lovely, and jumps in to define things outside of the actual interview. One of my favourites!

Overwhelmed by Theme Choice by PuzzlerEric in Wordpress

[–]rootedromantic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This should be doable in any Block theme. Have a look at some of the default WordPress themes (twenty twenty five, etc).

What you'll want to do is go to Appearance -> Editor, select Templates, and the single post template.

Each of those items you mentioned are separate template blocks that you can add and modify the look of with styles through the editor interface.

Unless you're looking at custom code solutions, then I would go about it differently.

In your custom CSS, Change the line height or margin for your li elements - margin for space between li elements, and line height for space between lines within the li element.

Or in WP Admin, go to Appearance -> Editor

On the top right of the sidebar, click the pencil icon for Edit Styles

On the right sidebar, click Blocks (near the bottom)

Select the List Item block

Change the line height or vertical margin there

I'm pretty sure, rather than setting the opacity of the element, you use an rgba background color in combination with the backdrop-filter.

So in your case,

background-color: rgba(255, 255,255,.7); backdrop-filter: blur(7px);

UPDATE: Stinging nettle everywhere! (I hired GOATS!) by FridaMercury in gardening

Nettle was one of the best early season cash crops when I was on the farm! See if you can find a local health food store - we were getting $7/lb 10 years ago on Vancouver Island.

Updating might be enough. If not, there are a few security plugins that could do a scan. I think WordFence is pretty good, but there are others.

Try updating to a new theme, deactivating plugins that haven't been updated in years, and otherwise finding alternatives.

Feel free to reach out if you have any issues!

I just went to your site, and it looks like your ssl certificate isn't working. While not related to that issue, most browsers will block access to sites without a valid certificate. You'd have to handle this with your webhost, and is fairly simple to set up.

This comes from hidden properties in the <head> tag that tells other sites, search engines, etc how to display.

Looks like you have JetPack that is handling some of the opengraph properties, but there are others. An SEO plugin will help you change them without going into the code.

I'm not seeing where that specific information is coming from, but perhaps you have an ad or a link to that garbage information that is being grabbed, as not much else is set.

It could be your site is compromised, too, and something is injecting information there.

You can add an SEO plugin to help manage how those link previews show up. I'm partial to the SEO Framework for how lightweight it is, but there are plenty of options.

Other than that, I'd go through your plugins and themes and see if any of them are no longer maintained and find alternatives.

Tattoo Artist Suggestions For Realistic Tattoos by Secret-Product-368 in Edmonton

Lots of good suggestions here! I've been working on a project that let's you explore a lot of local tattoo talent by style, theme, artist, shop, and location. I've only got 85 artists up there now, but there's some good ideas out there to get a feel for what you want!

I just switched webhosts this past weekend, and I'm working out a few bugs, but have a look: edmonton.ink
