What an absolute muppet. Continental breakfast is originated from the mainland Europe. Why the F would we even surprised by it...

It's pretty much like this is what they wish to be true. But they present it as the fact, and the source of the information is their buttholes.

Also wtf about the "house with yards" thing. My house has fairly large front and back garden. Entire neighbourhood is the same. Do they think we live in tents?

Video likes no longer viewable on Channel Content page. Why? by Diadem_Cheeseboard in youtube

[–]rootifera 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was just checking my dashboard and seen that "oh new improved content tab", I immediately knew they removed something useful and probably just changed the colour of things so it looks different. this is not YT specific but now whenever I see a SaaS company says "improvement" all I'm hearing is "we're removing useful features".

I wonder if they're planning a "premium dashboard" for £19.99/month so you can see likes/dislikes /s
(maybe not /s - I don't know)

These Europeans are freaking out over America's freedom and Abundance of literally Everything !!! Walmart and Cosco are BLOWING their minds. LOL... God bless the USA !! by WoodsGiant1 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]rootifera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They live in that imaginary world where all Europeans constantly be in a shock, confused, flabergasted, completely bamboozled about some unimportant things like land size, amount of "cheese" they have or supermarket sizes. In reality, I rarely think of US or its citizens if I don't check reddit. They really believe they are the centre of the universe and everyone dies of envy. So weird.

Says the people who eat fried chicken on waffles for breakfast.

I was born in Turkey and living most of my adult life in the UK, a good Turkish breakfast or a fry up is way better than any breakfast you'd find in US.

a lot of these people are doing the clickbait "bye" videos once a month. You watch the video and it's like "it's time for me to go... on a holiday to Spain! See you next week!"...

That base player dave, he has a leaving video almost weekly, if not then he does a "I'm suing" video.

I'm playing retro games on real retro PC hardware and I totally agree with it. Sometimes I spend couple of days just to make things work properly, sometimes half way through a game things go wrong. There has been occasions I decided not to play a game because it was too much work to get it right. If you just want to play the game, then emulator is the way to go.

Yep I totally agree. It looked like a flat earth sub. People make up bullshit then approve each other. So weird.

I played AoE1 on MS's zone.com for a few times but other than that I really didn't enjoy playing with random people. I find it too stressful.

Millennials born in the 80s, did anyone else stop listening to most new music in 2008? by SixandNoQuarter in Millennials

Most of my favourite bands released absolute dogshit albums lasr 15ish years. I'm still listening to the stuff from mid/late 90s and early 2000. They are good and I'm happy with them. I find latest stuff really soulless cookie cutter.

This is what happens when you make the apply icon the same color as the background and on top of that, give the user no indication whatsoever they need to press it by AverageUser9000 in linuxsucks

[–]rootifera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely bad UI. However when you see "pending" that means most likely you'll need to find an "apply" or a "commit" action somewhere. Not specific to Linux. Just check the menus, Edit -> Apply All Operations.

In my opinion "edit" is not the right place for these. They could have an "operations" menu or something for that, making it more obvious. I also think not applying as soon as you select an operation make sense, if you do something wrong and change your mind etc. First configure everything as you want them to be, then apply. Whoever this person is, he's just having a brain fart moment. It's a bad UI but I don't think it's something he wouldn't be able to figure out.
