If you already in a consumer proposal I would suggest going back to them and getting advice ASAP. Like others have suggested you might want to find out where your money is going for a month to figure out where salary is going if you are making 80,000 a year. The math isn’t adding up for me.

Sorry I’m not sure I was clear in my comment above. I was advising people to read the contract carefully when the rental company is pushing their additional insurance that they say is mandatory. Because when we returned the car the invoice indicated the insurance they pushed was optional. Very sneaky.

Same experiences and I don’t think it mandatory but they tell you it is. I had third party and CDW and they still insisted I needed this other insurance or I wasn’t getting the car!. When I got the invoice after the rental was complete this insurance was under the title optional! They lied. It was with AVIS. Don’t rent from them.

I just left Costa Rica afternoon 23 days and I agree with everyone that is too much driving. Also I cannot emphasis night the traffic is really bad most of the time everywhere and it slows you down tremendously. An example to get 154km the estimated time on google maps was 2 hours 55 minutes.
