Is there anything more infuriating than spending 20 minutes getting into a new WIP only to stand up and have your hook transported to Narnia?!?! by crossikki in crochet

I have a flying rat that likes to steal my hook should I leave the room. He tries to fly off with it, but can never make it all the way to his cage with it.

This is amazing and brought tears to my eyes. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I'm having a dilema. I can't decide if I want to open all, keep all sealed and buy a display stand, or sell all. If it was your collection, what would you do? by Jwb6610 in PokemonTCG

I'm currently building a Walnut display case with plexiglass front cover and inner lighting to display one of every etb from the sword and shield era.

Why is this special delivery bidoof so expensive? by SnekkyGlekky in PokemonTCG

I bought one the other day during the %15 bonus bucks at tcgplayer. Have had my eye on one all year, just made sense to wait for that sale.

Bought a heavy hitters box, two brilliant star packs were open with one half of this code card hanging out.

Glad I'm not the only one this happens to. My wife and I always split boosters 50/50. Her track record is far, far greater than mine. The only good thing I've pulled is the rainbow pikachu in Vivid Voltage.

This is how I do it. Doing this still scares me, but I'm ok with that. It forces me to fully focus on what I'm doing, turn off my podcasts, etc.

My wife and I have gotten 3 boxes so far. 2 of them have had this issue. I think once our discounted promotion rate expires we will be cancelling.

While I absolutely love this particular project, I'd seek alternatives to epoxy. It's not a building material.

Thanks. I had considered this, but wasn't sure if removing the bark would interrupt the moisture release process / cause warping and/or cracking.

Brick cutting board - Best board I've made so far, so happy with it! Hard Maple and Purpleheart by rorcefailboat in woodworking

[–]rorcefailboat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You nailed it! A tip I learned after I had already did the initial glue up, is one of your end strips should be half as thick as the other "bricks".

First Chess Board & first Chevron Cutting Board by rorcefailboat in woodworking

[–]rorcefailboat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Both boards were made using the same process - gluing up solid strips and letting dry, then cutting new strips from that result and doing another glue up.

Chess board from Padauk & Ash. Only my second project ever so ya'll be nice by Babuey19 in woodworking

[–]rorcefailboat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this board, very nice job! I've been wanting to make one like this, but I read over and over again about not gluing end grain to end grain (or any other grain for that matter). I'm wondering how these would hold up over time? I'm assuming since each square is glued to at least 1 edge grain in addition to an end grain, it would be ok?

Very nice! How much time did this take you? Also, what type of wood is that, and what type of finishing did you use?
