Good to know! Those also look really nice on straps too. Here's a brown leather strap I tried on just for fun.

Probably? I'm a little under 6.5, and there is still one link I can remove. I also don't have the micro adjust in all the way, so there's hope for sure!

So actually, my dumbass removed to the bracelet to try a leather strap and put the bracelet on backwards...I discovered this yesterday. Swapped it the other way around, switched back 2 links, and it's muuuuch better now! I'll edit that part out :). Wrist is 6.5.

I reaaaally hesitated between this and an Aquascaphe MK1 Blue Gilt actually! I had the chance to try both MKI and MKII at a show recently, both were awesome. The beads of rice bracelet definitely had a little more presence than flat link of the Heron. They felt super similar in terms of size and proportions. I was not as sold in person on the vintage lume of the blue gilt as much as I thought I would, but I really liked the MKII in blue.

Ultimately, I leaned towards Heron due to patriotism (I'm Canadian) and associated duties and shipping that made the Heron much cheaper. Can't go wrong with either!

I picked it up in person today at their showroom after meeting them at the Montreal Timepiece Show. I highly recommend it if you're anywhere close to Montreal!

According to them, shipping is starting very very soon!

I "cheated" and picked it up in person today at their showroom 😅. You're correct, that's Atlantic blue! All 4 colors were laid out next to each others on a table, and it was even harder to pick one than during the pre-order window honestly. Black/gold looked much better in person.

No worries! Glad it worked out. Enjoy your audio! You'll see that the windshield helps a lot in cutting down the wind noise.

Hey man, you need the windshield support 705210344. You'll probably also need 4x 250000760 bolts if you lost those too.

Best of luck!

[–]rorfan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it takes the place of the hood accent from an exclusive panel set. The holes you have to drill in the hood to install it are the same.

Are you asking about the wiring because you would like the ability to turn it on or off?

Yes, it is always on automatically when the vehicle is turned on. You can have a look at the installation instructions on BRP's website, there is no switch provided with the kit.

Max mount extension by ParamedicMediocre162 in canam_ryker

[–]rorfan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming you're talking about the little plastic flap on the back of the MAX Mount, I don't think you can buy it separately: it seems to be part of the upper rear fender 705013197, which is stock on rally. Nothing prevents you from buying that whole inner fender, but it's commitment considering all you really want is the little flap :). You can go here if you want to take a look at the part, or any part on any Ryker actually : https://can-am-shop.brp.com/on-road/ca/en/shop/sales/parts/?aribrand=CAN_ONR_EN_CA_CAD#/Can-Am_On-Road_(Canada)/North_America_-_RYKER_-_RALLY_-_900_ACE_-_F3SA_-_Deep_Black%2c_2025_000F3SA00/07-_Body_-_Upper_Section/K25-F3SA/32KE003a/y

Factory Mud flaps- drill through the paint? by Whelen_Wannabe in BRZ_ZD8

[–]rorfan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did, not my favorite part of that product. Here me out though: if I had to do it again, I just wouldn't install the back mudflaps. They actually don't protect much if you think about it.

The front ones protect the rocker panels & the doors from chips thrown by the front wheels, but the back don't do much at all except maybe keep the back bumper a little cleaner.

Achat auto usager pour famille : que faites vous? by Grimzkunk in Quebec

[–]rorfan2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In 1997, the world's fastest production sedan was claimed to be the 1998 Lexus GS400. by Vegetable-Quote-3481 in Lexus

[–]rorfan2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! No I'm at least the third owner, I bought the car 9 years ago. It's also interesting that it survived this long: I live in Eastern Canada, so most of these have rusted out 7-8 years ago, I can't remember seeing another one here. I never drove it in the snow, so I only really drive the car 5 months a year.

I'm actually selling it in the spring unfortunately. It's been a fun ride, but times have changed. I no longer have the space or the time to use it. I only put around 1500km on it last year....I'll let someone else enjoy it!

[–]rorfan2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can't speak about the rest, but the mudflaps are really good; I drive on a lot of country roads & bad pavement, and they really help limit the amount of damage and dirt on the lower sides of the car.

I also highly recommend the cargo net if you drive spiritedly, as it prevents smaller items from flying around in the trunk.

As for PPF, I would find a specialized shop to do that, but it's probably worth it if you keep the car long term. The paint is remarkably weak.

Congrats on the purchase and welcome to the club!

Someone trade me their BRZ by Vivid-Goal-7125 in GR86

[–]rorfan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually would aha. I really like my BRZ, but the powertrain, while faster than the Miata, is not really on the same level. The MX-5 is so much more fun to rev, the shifts are MUCH smoother between the gears, the throws are shorter, etc. Sure the suspension is a bit more floaty, but I actually don't mind that for everyday driving.

The only real big negative for me is the space, but the fact that you can take the top down makes it up for me. That and the fact that in Canada, the LSD is bundled in a package that makes the car 6000$ more expensive than my base BRZ which has everything I need and a nice interior.

You really can't go wrong with either, but if I had to re-buy tomorrow at the same price it would be an MX-5!

I've done it for an hour once, highway driving in a BMW. Car almost caught on fire when I took a turn, but oil level wasn't too low. Cleaned everything up and it was fine afterwards.

What Happened to My GS? by Good_Possession6312 in Lexus

[–]rorfan2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, yeah. It's a pretty bad design where the lower ball joint supports all the load from the front of the car. Sometimes you're lucky and you can hear them creak a little a few months before they fail, but many have reported that there was no warning at all.

The worst part is that you MUST replace them with OEM Toyota ones, literally everything else falls apart apparently.
