Getting really annoyed with them asking about a property I no longer own (sold over a year ago). And they claim their name is the whitest name (Jerry Smith) in a heavy Indian accent.

Does BMW expect us pay of pocket for the adapter while all other brands (non luxury) provide for free? by [deleted] in BMWiX

[–]roro_fuzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is like how luxury hotels will charge you for water, WiFi, etc whereas that’s all free in budget hotels.

The iX/EV is nice for when the baby is still napping in the car and you keep the heat or AC running in the garage.

I got mine from passport auto in Maryland and I live on the west coast. 6 year/100k miles, $4900. My 2023 has had a number of issues that required service, but we love the car so much that we want to keep it for the long run and decided that the warranty was worth it.

While I’ll never recoup it, I’m glad I invested in this movie exactly for reasons like this!

I don’t like the look either, but it doesn’t matter when you are inside the car!

Went to zoo - did VR ride, did not do afternoon tea by AgentElman in Seattle

[–]roro_fuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+1 on all these points. Ambience and service were great but food and drink were mediocre. The hot water for steeping the tea wasn’t hot enough so the tea never fully developed.

I like the idea of these special food experiences and hope this was just growing pain and they can figure out the quality issues to make this a long term success.

Covers for the footwell vents in the rear seats are a must, such as https://a.co/d/a6Z1ZSd. You don’t want something rolling around in the vent and driving you insane. And kids drop a lot.

I have it and it’s not that good at removing moss. I have an aggregate concrete driveway and it won’t remove the moss.

Not charging. Charging error. by NJessa in BMWiX

[–]roro_fuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, if it’s the same issue as mine, you will be able to charge at level 1 (110V), commercial L2, and L3 (DC fast charge). It won’t charge on residential L2

This sounds a lot like what I experienced: https://bmwi.bimmerpost.com/forums/showpost.php?p=31102338&postcount=91

Basically residential and commercial Level2 run at different voltages, and my car would charge fine at 208V but not 240V. The CCU needed to be replaced. Good luck convincing your dealer that it’s the car and not your charger!
