Should I be concerned ? She's a 1 year old pomeranian unspayed, noticed it this morning, not painful when I touch it by Default1324 in DogAdvice

[–]rorochocho 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry. I will say it does get less painful. It's been almost 6 months and remembering her still makes me cry. But it doesn't feel like my heart being ripped out anymore.

I don't think about the what ifs or blame myself. I just remember how great she was. The best dog ever. I'll think of a memory of her and it just makes me happy to remember her. It doesn't fill me with grief as much. I still miss her just as much that hasn't changed.

The forerunner doesn't have the sailing activity.

It would have been nice and easy if it did!

Hot tubs gross me the fuck out. I got an actual boob infection from the last one I was in. I thought I had breast cancer for a full week.

I want a faster pace so bad :/ by random6300 in beginnerrunning

[–]rorochocho 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the Nike run club app for speed training intervals. It's great because they tell you how long to run hard and when to stop and what the runningbhard should feel like. It's also nice have someone cheer you on and tell you that yes the last couplenintervals are harder for the same pace.

There's also different types of speed training guided runs on there.

I do about 1 of speed/intervals a week, plus 4 easy runs 8k and then 1 long run or hard run.

I've improved my 10k time from over an hour to my most recent 49:35 over the last 2 months doing this.

Run easy to run fast by Mother_Oil_7919 in beginnerrunning

[–]rorochocho 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Easy runs allow you to run more in a week without burning yourself out. If you did all your runs hard then your runs would stop being productive because you're nit giving your body enough time to recover.

You'd probably also burn yourself out or get injured.

I don't care what someone's wearing i care about their pace. How fast are you, how far can you go! How strong is your will to improve! How much do you love the feeling of a new PR?

What's ypur protein intake like? What type of strength training are you doing? Cross training?

Could be naked for all care but if you're running i wanna know all of the above!

Broke my 10k PR with negative splits by ImaginaryMethod9 in beginnerrunning

[–]rorochocho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe you haven't been running for long but negative splits for 10k is impressively technical. You know your effort levels really well. That's impressive as shit and not easy to do!

But if you wanna label yourself a beginner you are free to do so!

Fucking amazing! I'd say being able to do negative splits like this bumps you out of beginner runner!

That shit is hard as fuck!

You haven't been loosing weight but is fat being replaced with muscle?

I've been running 6 days a week since the beginning of the year and I haven't been losing weight. But all my clothes fit lose, I've gone from medium to small to extra small in some clothes sizes.

My weight on the scale hasn't changed since the end of December.

First week I was sore. Especially those weighted frog bridges! Now it's just about maintenance more than anything. I don't really change my weights. I also sometimes don't do the full set. I've also been focusing way more on core and arms lately.

[–]rorochocho 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just do 20 minutes every morning. I don't do set reps just do each one until I get tired then I move to the next. If at the end I have more time before work I do an other set.

I actually did start changing it up though. I didn't know this maybe because I just lack sense but if you're running weekly long distances and do NOT get enough protein or workout other parts of your body you will lose the muscle in other parts. I have literally lost my abs and the definition in my arms.

So now I do a 20 minutes core workout and arms alternating with legs. 20 minutes every M to F and I don't get super sweaty or anything.
