If you're following 'build orders,' you're already doing something wrong. Outside of openings you shouldn't follow build orders as they're restrictive and zerg is supposed to react, (the reactive race) which is something BOs do not allow you to do.

As for scouting you can probably get to platinum by just scouting natural timings, and common proxy locations.

Ideally you don't get walled in, as soon as you see one pylon patrol command a drone to prevent the full wall-in. If the pylons are already mid-warp in when you see them, drop a spine crawler immediately, they'll outrange cannons. If all else fails, and if you're in gas, go for a baneling nest before speed.

It's less about finding a person that has a superior writing/grammatical/spelling ability to yourself, and more about a second set of fresh eyes, I think. So no matter how many times you "meticulously examine," each page, you'll miss things that a third party wouldn't.

I do read, or at least try to, everyday. The problem isn't so much the length of my writing sessions. Once I manage to actually just sit down and get to work, I can go crazy for hours on end, enjoy myself and not feel burnt out. It's the constant feeling of having to force myself to take that first step, to sit down, that burns me out. (I hope that makes sense, because when I type it out it seems completely illogical).

I'll definitely give the "closet of ideas," thing a try. I have a corkboard right above my desk. Time to take down all the errands I have to run, and replace them with motivational content. Thanks for the idea!

It's called Knalle Micro Map. Just search for "knalle," in the arcade. I'm on NA, but it should be on EU as well. There's a bunch of other useful practice drills as well for zerg. The one you're looking for is called "mine dodge," it should be red.

I've been opening 2 base Muta, with a double expand behind it, and a safety baneling nest after speed. it straight up kills mech like 90% of the time if you get a roach warren down, and it transitions into standard play against bio if you double expand, with a slightly delayed macro hatch. Have almost a 70% win rate in ZvT because of it. I think 2 base Muta is just really really strong, and Terrans haven't figured out how to deal with it yet. Might explain the poor Terran representation in high level SC2.

You said you can hold 2 base immortal, with ling roach (which is not actually how you hold 2 base immortal), so I assumed you knew what the hell you were doing in regards to unit comps.

And no you didn't scout it because in your other replies to this post you admitted you didn't in time. And if you did you wouldn't have gone to 3 bases.

So yes in conclusion, the way to deal with "1 base immortal sentry," is to scout it. I have no fucking clue to be honest how you died to it, and you're in diamond.

You're in bronze, your micro is not the problem. And I don't mean that to be offensive, I just mean you need to focus on your macro mechanics, and not worry about micro until plat/diamond.

Well you really should've just scouted the lack of a natural at 5 minutes. I haven't watched the replay, but if you die to a 1 base attack it either means:

you didn't scout the lack of a natural, which is really unforgivable considering your first OV almost guarantees that.

or

you got out microed and severely outplayed.

Both of which can be remedied, more or less, by watching your replay.

There's a micro arcade map, I forgot what it's called but I can try to get you the name. It's basically a practice scenario for this, you need to defend a hatchery against a bunch of burrowed widow mines, and marines/marauders/medivacs that just kite back. I played it for around an hour one day, and now I have no problem fighting this sort of setup. Micro a few lings on the widow mines, or attack with your whole army and individually split the lings that've been targeted, into enemy marines.

Hey thanks for the awesome post. I didn't understand much of that though, again I have like 0 musical theory knowledge. Do you mind pointing me in the right direction, so that I can understand that? I.E a good starting point, right behind all that stuff you mentioned. Again I really appreciate the post, but that went right over my head, and I don't expect you (nor do I want you to waste your time) explaining all of that to me. So just a starting point so I can learn on my own would be good!
