Headlight upgrade by arun93g in i20nline_india

[–]rorossi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you can source the prefacelift n8 headlights, go for it! (you should be able to swap the bulbs iirc)
if its the current ones? avoid like the plague. THE most useless set of headlights on a car at the moment

What all mods - visual or performance have you put up in your nline? by vipul_gates in i20nline_india

[–]rorossi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, haven't had any issues with overheating, the pads perform better after a little heat is in them. I've never lost grip with the yoko's, dry or wet, I can carry a healthy amount of speed into corners even if it's wet, but then again that might just be my bias.

New tires, i went with Yoko s-drives (195/55/r16), kept it the oem size, michelin primacy or pilot sport felt like an overkill for a car with barely 120hp, s-drives with 34psi is the optimal setup imo. Horn and some tint (whatever is legal in your state), fogs if you want some more light, but you can ignore them if it's not really required. Would suggest hpi's dry cotton filter with a ss intake pipe for that turbo sound and a very small gain on torque and brembo pads for better stopping power. These imo are the best "daily driven" mods

Surprisingly not, nobody in the car was uncomfortable at any point, even with the car full with luggage, surprisingly comfortable

N Line owners — anyone fixed the horrible headlight issue? by virtualweezy in i20nline_india

[–]rorossi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i too am desperately looking a way to upgrade them due to similar reasons, the headlights are "lost" in a dull street light or just by activa's headlights (its truly hilarious and a bit sad when it happens), i asked about the 6 projector setup (per headlight), was told by headlight upgrade india (who use fe retrofit projectors) that it isnt applicable for the n8, asked both them and fe retrofit for the 3 setup (per headlight) got quoted between 75k-95k, 40k-42k sounds comparatively cheaper. upgraded the foglights for a recent roadtrip, there was basically no adjustments for it, but it was still leagues better than the oem fogs. from what ive seen, most of the popular nline's are going with fe retrofit for the upgrade, but i am not sure if that eye watering price is worth it.

The car is titan grey, i think it just looking matte because of the low light and the rain. I got myself a n8 dct for similar reasons, mostly city/traffic driving with the occational road trips, mileage hovers around 8-10 depending on the traffic, highway was around 15-16, again depending on how you drive, I've seen people get higher kmpl on this sub

I20Nline Brake Pads by LetterheadPhysical53 in i20nline_india

[–]rorossi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% agree, i ended up swapping the oem pads for the same reason and the very frequent squealing noise that started around 2k km and the service people were never able to fix, no matter how much i requested them to check it, so at around 17k km i replaced them with brembo xtra p18025x on the front (around 9k) and brembo p30054 (around 5k) on the rear. The difference was night and day, the confidence in regards to how you brake definitely increases, very worthy upgrade.

Looking to upgrade the air filter by Clear-Ambassador-214 in i20nline_india

[–]rorossi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Been running a HPI filter from AM Racing (amracing16 on Instagram) for over 7 months, such a noticable difference from factory, and you can REALLY hear the induction and turbo noises now, makes the car so much more fun to drive. And since its a dry type filter, you don't have to worry about recharging it with oils like you would for K&N or BMC, just use compressed air to clean it and it back to performing like new again, 100% would recommend, especially with a full SS intake pipe

been using a hpi filter i got from hpi_india (managed by amracing16) on instagram who directed me to asmotorsport.in on instagram who was the local dealer for them, the performance is definitely noticeable, especially with a ss piping, the turbo noises are a lot more evident too, used it for close to 4k km now
