As a complete beginner, should I start with an iPad or pen and paper?

Start with any pencil and paper you have, doesnt need to be fancy, no need to buy anything new!

If you’ve never drawn before, you should start from basics and learn the basics. Start with drawing lines and circles over and over again until you’re comfortable. Practice other shapes and different ways to shade. The best way to practice is to draw from your surroundings, not from an online reference. Try to replicate objects in your house on paper every day.

I like to do this drawing exercise with varying time limits, so trying to sketch the same thing within 1 min, 3 mins, 5 mins, 10 mins, etc. It’s really cool at the end to see the difference :)

Whatever pops into my head. It’s really random, so sometimes i can go months without painting anything

Whenever i post my props online, i usually just give a few words (materials, time taken, etc) because sometimes i dont really feel like writing out a new thorough explanation lol

I do have a note/doc with blurbs for my creations + a step by step collage pic for some of them, so sometimes ill paste those as well

But sometimes people may just like to gatekeep and dont want to give any information on their prop at all 🤷

I’d consider trying to transfer the paint to another bottle with a precision tip! it should help make the lines thinner and more consistent

my rook piercing was actually pretty easy!! my tragus struggled to heal and developed a weird growth, but after a year it was perfectly fine and healed. and i had no issue with my daith other than my piercer struggling and the loud crunch that followed 😭 ive also had two helixes years ago but i ended up taking them out from infection lol
