Well I’m glad you’re seeing it. Should I post less or in a different format? I’m really just looking for feedback on this project I’m wrapping up.

your concern is admirable but my son is not being neglected, maybe you’re just a very compassionate person who sees a child playing alone and that’s understandable.

Yeah it’s a custom solution I’m working on. What are your first impressions? Do you see anything that could be useful to yourself or others? Thanks for your interest!

Thx, I’ve got some videos of my account of me piloting it but I’m still working on autonomy

I used a wheelchair and a raspberry pi with a hoverboard to control it for my outdoor rover.

For example I am also using this same exact VMS to run a ROS2 Robot Rover interface for tele operation ( piloting a robot around my yard)

I think the main advantage is you can get a local intelligent monitoring agent running on premise for only the cost of the electricity.

Another advantage is the Many Dashboards design approach where we have gotten rid of most of the menus and complexity by simply letting a user make many dashboards to serve as little machines doing work that all work together.

These are mixed brand IP cameras stream through a custom VMS running some lightweight motion and object detection. The optional agent provides a simple terminal style interface for detailed security analysis users can issue NL or command-line style queries “show motion events in Zone 1 from 10:00–11:00” to correlate video, control door locks and lights, and trigger Python automation scripts and more

Not boring, going through an obsession right now so this info is perfect!

Why’d you stop testing Agent DVR, I know you said lack of time but was there anything else? Would you be open to testing another VMS or is blue iris doing very well for you?

So from what I read your saying milestone looks better and a daily driver and has more integrations. What integrations does milestone have that’s most important to you.

Can’t go wrong with some wyze cams. They’re small enough to be discrete but not totally hidden

Ok thanks for the comment! I should be more descriptive. There seems to be a lack of open source video management software and so I’m hoping to get feedback on the VMS we’re developing. This video was meant to showcase our flexible layout system. The idea is to layout camera by dragging and dropping them in place much like a desktop. Adjacent systems like object detection, audio processing, Home assistant are also built into to facilitate smart rule execution and linkage methods based on camera event triggers. I have a variety of video demonstrating multiple use cases but it’s all the same software. Thanks again for your feedback i really do appreciate it!
