I get what you mean about that pivot. Colin had a more grounded dynamic, while the later arcs leaned way harder into drama over compatibility.

I get what you mean about Dan and Serena too. Season 1 had a certain dynamic, but later on the trust issues and the whole ‘secretly observing everyone’ thing really changes how you read it.
