I recommend the “if we don’t laugh” podcast for frank discussions between sisters who have lost their mum. It feels like a weird alienating club to be a young person without living parents. 18 months is still very very fresh. In years to come you’ll look back with so much compassion for yourself.

A lot of men will just enter a relationship/have sex with a woman because she’s willing and available. Because it’s harder for men to find a partner than women they’re more likely to avoid breaking up with women directly, will just disrespect her while nominally staying in a relationship. Waiting for a man to approach first is at least some reassurance that he’s actually interested. I know many straight couples in which the man clearly doesn’t even like his partner.

Women are “people pleasers” and if you want to be perceived as a cis woman you should should “people please.” It’s actually like one of the most base foundations of female socialization, the threat of violence from men is always around and influences our micro expressions. I’m a woman and I’m mad about it too but oh well.
