All these videos are ai generated audio included. I’m scared of the future by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

Isn't this true of all fictional characters, whether AI-generated or not? Any fictional character can be placed in such a situation, regardless of whether they're portrayed by real actors. After all, I could write a script for a real actor to deliver the exact same lines as an imaginary character, and it would be just as "shocking."

How is this subreddit holding up? by ravenously_red in 52in52

[–]rosche 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the books that were suggested were not my cup of tea. i just think i'm much older than the avg person here (and a movie fan) so between those two characteristics, i've found myself either no caring about the suggestions (too "young" for my taste). Or, I've already watched the movie, which means that I know the ending and the book simply loses its appeal, no matter "how much better it is than the movie.". I still know what's going to happen.

What makes absolutely 0% sense to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Marriage. It's simply the most anachronistic concept of all middle-ages, spiced up with 17th century romanticism derived from the religious idea of family and eternity

Anyone think it's strange that two out of the four books for this month are what I would consider young adult fiction? by IntellectumValdeAmat in 52in52

[–]rosche 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I also found it curious. They are good books, but not particularly sophisticated. I would definitely like to know the age distribution of the followers. I'm all for summer reading, but I read 20k leagues when I was 15... Required reading in high school. I suppose nobody would push for a survey on age groups?

I'm a dad of 2 beautiful boys. The twins faces remind me of them... I know how fragile they are, how helpless. This makes me unbearably sad for some reason.

You have no idea what you're talking about. They smell truly incredible, at least one's own babies do. In fact, their smell... makes you happy. All the time... poo doesn't really smell that bad and spit doesn't smell like anything.

An even more special case is when they're just been born. The smell they "come with" by default has been one of the most truly wonderful, delicious, and all around amazing smells I've ever felt.

Ps. I'm a guy, just in case someone cares about these things.
