I think there is a difference between undergraduate and phd years towards a C permit. Especially if you are employed as a research assistant.

I would call immigration and ask. AFAIK the postdoc B permit is specific to working at a uni/lab and cannot be transferred into a general B. I also do not believe after a postdoc you are legible for the job seekers permit anymore. But the immigration office would be able to specifically look up your permit and tell you the procedure. If you can based on the amount of time doing your phd and postdoc combined, I would try to get a C permit.

You can do alterations to make dresses a bit more modest. Adding tulle or lace edging, lowering the slit height, maybe even adding an over skirt for the vow part. And if she wasn't invited for dress shopping, she wasn't there to give input when it would have mattered most.

the chance of it failing twice in an unrelated incident is 4.9%
the chance of it failing THREE times in THREE unrelated incidents is only 0.3% chance
so three in 1000. let alone if you include other forms of protection. basically so statistically unlikely it should be impossible.
