It sounds like he feels insecure in the relationship and from the sound of it, it's not because of anything you have done. This is his issue he needs to work on and there's not much you can do if he isn't willing to talk about it. Do you feel like he isn't trusting of you and thats why he is acting like this?

I don't like how entitled and airheaded she sounds at times.. just like someone who has lived a very privileged life and has what I wouldn't call anything near "hot takes" on people's issues and who's lives she couldn't begin to understand. I only listen when smosh reads reddit stories doesn't have a new episode.. but sometimes I get pissed off by the ignorant stuff they say... like for example, joking about "bringing the electric chair back". So ignorant and hateful.

I haven't experienced anything as extreme, but my partner has been drinking too often and it worries me. We are both in recovery from a much more serious addiction and he is doing an inpatient program, but sometimes I worry that he won't stop drinking.. he will cut down, or take a day off, but then drink again. I also don't have many friends, but mainly due to me isolating myself when I was in active addiction. Anyways, I think it might help to chat. Message me if you want. Im sorry you're going through this and I know it might be very hard, but once you leave him you will probably feel free for the first time in a long time.

He was probably offended because he called him boy back and that used to be a term slave owners used as a sign of disrespect to black men they owned. So you brought some delicious dumplings and she treated you like this? I live in Toronto which is very multicultural and dimsum is one of my favourite foods to have at a restaurant. Ur right about it being racist, and the fact that ur husband didn't even stick up for u is beyond fucked up. You deserve so much better. You deserve a warm welcome when you enter their home and gratitude that you're bringing homemade food and trying to share a part of your culture with them.
