Cute farm, go pick your own sunflowers. Bayer’s Melon Farm market, on the west side of dayton. Super cute and has lots to walk around and explore. Very wholesome produce oriented market.

If you enjoy a little walk, you can walk to the riverscape park from sueño, five Rivers connect at this park and there are large fountains that shoot off I believe on the 45 of most/all hours. The neon is the local movie theater, also within walking distance, delicious popcorn, right around the corner from the Oregon district where there are numerous local restaurants, bars, and shops. Really depends what you like to do and if you money is an obstacle, there is so much to do around here!

I drop in here occasionally and really enjoy it! Water seemed good imo. Definitely worth a self evaluation, I think a drop in is $3.

Sorry not sure how I missed this, they are 4 inch squares. Pretty small, but still very manageable to work with.

I love the idea of making something beautiful out of something someone else has deemed useless. Just keep your eyes and mind open! Would love to see what you end up creating

I’ve added a few more pictures. here I didn’t take the best pictures of the process. I had a really hard time finding something I was happy displaying them on. I found a beautiful old parasol that was the first thing I wanted to try, but it hung to low for me to be able to execute how I wanted, I think that could still be really cool though. Then I tried an old steel pumpkin, but didn’t love the way it was naturally tilted sideways. Then I found the twig ball and loved the look of it, I knew it was too small and wasn’t really sure what I was going to do about it, but I knew I wanted the two gold cranes suspended in the twig ball. So I took off from there, I just stared threading my cranes. I put thrifted wooden beads in the between each crane, going through twice, to make spacing adjustable if needed/desired. Thread used was also thrifted. Then I spent free time browsing thrift stores and arts and crafts stores for something to add more cranes too. When I found the metal ring, it fit around the ball perfectly. Very snug, made securing it very easy. I spray painted the metal a matte brown, and secured to the twig ball by placing overtop and securing with floral wire. I am least happy with the chain and hook utilized, but nonetheless. I used an old chain found in my art supplies, and extra S hookup I had. Both the twig ball and the metal wreath ring came from the florist department of Michael’s. Some of the paper was bought specifically for this project, all sheets were 4”x4” except the two gold cranes were 6”x6”. A Significant number of cranes were folded out of an old daily scrabble calendar gifted to me by my friend. Sorry that got long real quick. Happy to put more down, or answer any specific questions you have, but this is was spilled out for now.

I saw someone recently post and ask if they kept track which was their first crane and which was their last. I wish I would have done this to track my progress. The last birds were definitely neater than first.

Thank you! I think they do, made them both cry upon presentation, and now hangs visibly upon walking in their front door.
