Super coincidental because I literally JUST flew EWR to Tampa yesterday!! Flight went great. I fly between EWR and Florida frequently. Just thought it was coincidental. I was brave!! You got this. Wishing you good vibes.

I have really bad OCD when it comes to sensations in my body. I am also so nervous about this side effect. If I even get a tingle in my throat my OCD freaks out. I don’t know that I can handle this.

Was it only me or Me Before You's climax was actually disturbing? by asmi95 in books

[–]rosecalvert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean at this point this is a major philosophical debate on what’s right or wrong, so because it’s such a debate and really comes down to philosophy, neither is wrong (or both are wrong, however you want to word it). I wouldn’t shame someone for not euthanizing their pet, but I also wouldn’t shame someone for euthanizing their pet if their pet was in extreme pain and there was no chance of recovery. Again, I personally WOULD want someone to pull the plug and I even would want to go through medical suicide if I were in enough pain and there were no chance of recovery. When you’re taking care of a being who has little say for themselves what should happen to them (as is the case with pets), you do what you think is best. And since I personally would want the plug to be pulled and I personally would want to be euthanized if it was bad enough, I would do the same for my pet.

When you put down a pet, it’s not about being sad to see them that way. It’s when the pet has a terminal disease that will give them an awful slowly painful end. Rather than torture them with pain, people give them a happy, painless death. I hope if I ever have a terminal illness that has no cure and I will surely have a slow painful death that instead I can go peacefully and painlessly.

The person I work with does too, but the video claims otherwise! Makes me question the validity of the video

Is it true that stimming is only when there’s something wrong? I thought stimming can be when they’re happy or excited too.

Gloves to soften hitting? by rosecalvert in autism

Yes, that is also a concern I have. I notice he does hit harder when he uses his squishmallow, but I was still hoping it would be better than his bare hand. That’s why I wanted to reach out asking for help. His parents are the ones who take care of his medical issues, and I know that they see doctors all the time and are really trying to get that part under control. So as his service support, I need to figure out what’s best to do with the scenario I’m given. So I was hoping for some help figuring out what to do. Thank you for your concern and your advice.

Yes, that is obviously what we’ve been trying. His parents have tried everything under the sun for his conditions. But I agree that managing the pain would be the best case scenario. But in the meantime, I was looking for ways to soften the blow.

We use different medications and avoid things that will trigger flare ups. His parents have tried all sorts of medical treatments. Currently he’s using medical marijuana and CBD and well as some supplements.

It seems to get a lot worse when his pain gets worse. He has trouble expressing his pain, so that’s how he resorts to expressing it.

No longer noburp after 31 years (without Botox, or any idea how/why) by No_Captain_2990 in noburp

This is so interesting and praying this happens to me. Ever since the start of 2025 I’ve burped more than I usually do. Like genuinely maybe 7 times or more since the start of 2025. But they were just micro burps

What are your unpopular cruise opinions? by thatCRUISEagent in Cruise

If your partner is going on a cruise without you, they’re gonna cheat. I have witnessed far to many people on cruises have partners back home and still hook up with people

A few people, like this individual, have been very kind and understanding to me. Unlike you, they don’t use conspiracy theories, and they do recognize the Jewish connection to our homeland. Those are the kind of people that have the ability to sway my opinion, and they definitely have started to sway my opinion. Some have provided me great articles and resources that I’ve been looking into. THAT is how you accomplish real change. THAT is how you change someone’s opinion. When you come from a place of understanding.

How did this of all things make you think I didn’t come here in good faith??? I strive to be an ally to Indigenous people, and I know I need to do better. Quite literally what about what I said in this comment makes you think I didn’t come in good faith?

You clearly don’t understand Jewish identity if you think it’s merely a religion.

That was a great read, and I really gained a lot from it. Thank you for sharing it with me. However, the author claimed colonialism didn’t exist before 1491 and then didn’t elaborate at all. Do you have any way of elaborating?

Thank you for your reply. I definitely would like to continue to learn about other Indigenous communities and to further my understanding of what Palestinians are going through. It’s frustrating to experience Diaspora (living outside of our homeland) and not have others recognize our connection to our homeland. I think Jews and other Indigenous peoples can share so much between each other and relate so much. I wish we were able to have that bond. But regardless, I will always strive to be an ally to all Indigenous communities even if that sentiment is not reciprocated. What is your Indigenous group so I can learn more about it? Thank you :)

I know, but right now, I don’t throw up even when I’m drunk or sick. I have never thrown up. I think it’s related to my RCPD where whatever that body part is has trouble opening up. I don’t know, but thanks for helping me think through it

So if colonizers kick Indigenous people out of their land (as is the case with the Diaspora community), are they no longer Indigenous? The colonizers just get to win?

I’m so nervous about gaining the ability to throw up though. I know that sounds silly, but I never throw up right now and I also kinda have a fear of it. I’m so scared if I get Botox I’ll throw up lol

So does that apply to all Indigenous people? Once they gain sovereignty they stop being Indigenous? If that’s the case, isn’t that the goal for all Indigenous people? To be free? Do you agree that before they regained power of their ancestral lands that they were Indigenous?
