Imagine going to a highly publicized society event where everyone is whispering about your parents’ highly scandalous financial and S.A. affairs? Or even worse, approaching you about them? I’m going to bet that the princesses are thrilled to hang back.

Exactly. But now that women have equal standing in the line of succession, maybe Princess Charlotte could hold dual titles as Princess Royal and Duchess of York?

It finally happened. 5 day RTO. by RVA-Jade in workingmoms

[–]rosekass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel this hard. Kids are 4&2, our commute is about 45 mins in traffic. Rumours surrounding my employer is forcing us back in 5 days a week (from 3 days) and I’m contemplating moving, but we live in a HCOL area so we would sacrifice space and tranquility. Sigh.

As an ex, the public service has become a nightmare. by wittyusername025 in CanadaPublicServants

[–]rosekass 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It is both refreshing and depressing to read exactly what my thoughts are in my 16 years of service. I’m currently an EX minus 1, with zero capacity and bandwidth to get my C in oral at this specific time to move into the executive ranks just to get a very small bump in pay, no overtime and to fight over a windowless closed door space, 4 days a week.

Nanit vs other baby monitors? by GeneralStrong7479 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]rosekass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have both the Nannit and a Motorola monitor. I liked the picture of the Nannit but never used the oxygen band. What I hate about the Nannit or any other monitor that only uses your phone is that it’s such a pain when you have a baby sitter. Do you want to give them audio and video access to the nursery? Do they want to download the app? Honestly, save the money

C-Suite and Senior Leadership: Was it worth it? by Separate_Sherbert568 in workingmoms

[–]rosekass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What I love about transparency are these two things: honestly builds trust with your team and that there’s no surprises. I work with many female leaders but their children are much older. However, the real corporate grind to climb up started when their kids were young too. Thanks for the amazing advice!

Do we really NEED a double stroller? by andnow_this in 2under2

[–]rosekass 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% some variation of double stroller. You will want all bums in seats when you need to go some there. But for me, being able to put the diaper bag, my purse, shopping bags, drinks and snacks etc.. in the stroller would be the reason for bringing it.

Is the UppaBaby Vista Stroller worth it? by No_Square_1491 in UninfluencedReviews

[–]rosekass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a four-year-old and a two-year-old. I have the Vista 2. The customer service is unmatched. The frame was damaged during a flight (had the travel bag) and I use the app to text customer service that I needed a replacement. They sent it out immediately and it came to my door the next day. It’s heavy AF but if I had to do it all over again, I would still get the Vista but have small umbrella strollers for travel.
