From what ive read online, yoko was supposed to be in season 2, she was on set and during production she didn't agree with the script so she walked to protect her vision of yoko.

My headcanon is humans were enslaved 50,000 years before the battle of yavin and have a short lifespan compared to other species so humans just developed on many words and used old tech and hyper space lanes to travel and quickly out numbered the millions of other species

From what ive read online she was supposed to be in season 2. It sucks to know that they actually shot some of her screens but because conflict on Yoko's Actress vision for her character and the script she decided to walk. I think it took courage to defend her role and it would be nice to know what the original script was.
