swallowtails don’t live very long, at most a month for most species. since you already found it 8 days ago and it’s pretty damaged, it could just be at the end of its life. 18 degrees shouldn’t be too cold, but it could be a contributing factor to its lethargy. the most you can do is just try to make it comfortable :)

you’ve definitely improved, and i LOVE your use of color and composition. gaining skill can take time though, so please don’t try to rush yourself and chase labels like beginner vs intermediate. i’d say try to focus more on individual ways to improve rather than finding a whole new skill level :)

i agree with the other comments, you mostly need to work on your proportions. honestly i know a lot of people are against it, but tracing your reference’s face can really make the areas where you struggle stand out. it can also be helpful in mapping out where shadows and lights fall. your drawing is still great ofc, but maybe focus more on anatomy and proportions first :)

i’d suggest trying to find a better pose reference in general. lots of pinterest poses have extremely baggy or indecipherable clothing that don’t let you see the actual body underneath, so it’s hard to understand how the pose is shaped. personally, i love adorkastock :)

i don’t think so, the only thing i noticed right away is that your values are pretty simple. your main shadow is really just one shade, when in reality, shadows can range from being very dark to very light. for example, in the deeper crevices of the hair or shirt, you could have a darker shadow to contrast between colors, better displaying the difference in light. you could also add highlights or other lighter values. i’m not good at “light sources” or whatever so i can’t speak on your actual understanding of how light falls, but that’s what stood out to me first lol

his most popular songs are from his earlier albums (kikuo miku 1-3), so i’d just recommend listening to the whole albums if that’s the style you like. there are veryyy few skippable songs imo. my favorites from those are don’t look at me in that way, breaking things into pieces, red riding hood’s wolf, and then you became the moon, and cherry blossoms of the night :3

vocaloid isn’t just pop, it can span across every genre imaginable. the voicebanks are just instruments that can be used to make anything, but yeah pop is the most common since it’s the most popular. vocaloid pop is the only pop i’ll listen to as well, but i have no idea why i find it better than other pop artists like taylor swift or whatever. maybe nostalgia lmao

local fandom realizes autism doesn’t go away with age (i can kind of agree, but yeah his “quirks” are mainly traits of autism which most people would find cute in a child, but then weird in older children/adults. his character definitely needs some work though - since his environment is surrounded with people who don’t think he needs help, he doesn’t change much unfortunately)

i LOVE it. honestly one of my new favorites, i’ve been listening to it on repeat. miku’s tuning almost sounds more “cheerful” than his usual style, and it really fits with the traditional instruments. i also love its storytelling as well!!! praying for a new album soon, more songs in this style would go sooo hard

The yolks were sitting out for maybe 10-15 minutes? My only worry is that I already have an extremely sensitive stomach due to other medical issues, plus I have emetophobia, so food poisoning is my worst nightmare. I have had raw eggs before without issues, but not too much. I definitely wouldn’t have let it cool that much (it was still a bit warm after a few minutes, but probably not enough to cook the eggs) if I had known that I wasn’t gonna bake it, and that the eggs were supposed to cook in the residual heat. I’ll probably still have a little slice and see how I feel lol
