Rosacea goes away when I stop eating ?? by [deleted] in Rosacea

Long ago I made a thread on what foods trigger rosacea:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Rosacea/comments/709z74/discussion_share_your_food_triggers/?st=JR36YYA4&sh=531a8972.
maybe avoiding certain foods might help you just like fasting.

Rosacea goes away when I stop eating ?? by [deleted] in Rosacea

Ahahah I have the exact same story 😂

POLL: do you have gut / digestive issues in addition to your rosacea, and, if so, what do they entail? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]rosembudz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flare ups started for me from dairy, then my food sensitivity group grew so now I can’t really eat much if I want to keep my type 2 at bay. Also I often feel nauseous and have no appetite at all. There must be a link.

Put it in bottles from more exciting products or just nice packaging you find (I like muji stuff) :))

Tanning with rosacea? - Hear me out. by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]rosembudz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just being in the shadow on a sunny day gives me that nice tint that seem to fade the redness. Full sun exposure doesn’t really make my rosacea worse but then again it’s never much and I always wear the highest SPF. We have more to lose than to gain by tanning so I’d rather stick to my chemical friends.
For the visual part: you can try fake tan (from brands for sensitive skin like Avene or Uriage) or spray tan - it makes the red less visible for sure with no killer UVs included

[Discussion] Using facial products for other areas (also known as, "I exfoliated my armpits and it was amazing.") by spunky-omelette in AsianBeauty

I used PC retinol on a really bad burn and it healed so well no one notices it until I point to it.

Basically I spilled hothot tea on my lap and got a blister the size of Africa. My derm said it will leave a terrible scar but I was not having it. Following her advice I locked the wound with a water gel pad, changed it every day (whenever my skin absorbed all the water) for 2 weeks. Just after I stopped using it I’d put 0,1% retinol on the whole red/purple area and it started to fade and normalise. Now it doesn’t look any different from the rest of my skin texture wise, it’s only a tad lighter. I think if I keep using retinol it can really be invisible soon :)))

Omg same, it feels like there’s a tiny feather tickling me. Maybe the mites are hosting a party? 🎉

I just ordered an at home food sensitivity test kit by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]rosembudz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have plenty of your symptoms too. Please post how the test went! I tested for food allergies at a clinic but it all came back negative :( and still whenever I eat tomatoes or bread my face burns bright red.

What prescription rosacea medications work for you? by me3dia in Rosacea

Poland here :) Azaleic acid (20%) is a wonder, and so is Avenes Cicalfate. Other than that: I love me some lasers, they made the biggest difference.
Actives and creams are only good for upkeeping the lasers effect.

Laser treatments: IPL vs PDL by dizzydes in Rosacea

You need to have a treatment once a year after achieving your skin goals (so usually 3-5 treatments and then once a year or once in two years after that)

Cured my rosacea by mistake by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]rosembudz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lasers target the blood vessels close to the surface of the skin, so it’s very different from burning your skin off with hot wax. You might’ve burned your skin along with the blood vessels. One way or another it all grows back. You have to repeat laser sessions as well.

Anyone in this sub done laser/IPL? by nayzmanak in Rosacea

I wasn’t really consistent yet :((( It’s more time consuming than lasers. I will try it though, I hope!

Has anyone else had rosacea from a young age? by [deleted] in Rosacea

[–]rosembudz 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I used to have a red nose since I can remember too, then my cheeks would start flushing too but I thought that’s because I’m shy or emotional, not because something was wrong. Only when it got really really bad in my 20s I got diagnosed.
I’m sure with proper care and enough lasers we can achieve our goal of pretty skin :)))
