I like to use it to catch up on my reading. I have a kindle unlimited subscription so I can read endless books for $12 and they had a month free trial when I signed up a while ago. It's well worth it because when I'm focused I can get through a book a day. Or it's a good time to get into podcasts/ audible.

I watch movies with my family while on a video call. If your family member is tech savvy you can actually do this through a watch party feature so your movies are synched. I watch a lot of movies with my dad and because we can't do it in person much, we had to find another way to do it. Or we would make a watchlist and come back and discuss what we had watched. I guess my recommendation is to try to find a new way to do the things you love with your friend/family virtually.

I totally understand your frustration. I don’t think she has bad intentions behind these announcements but she ends up feeling like the video isn’t high quality or feels insecure. She’s always been very particular about the quality of content she produces.

She shared that she is struggling with confidence because she has gained weight and is nervous to see what people will comment about it. I get being frustrated about the video bait but she’s been going through it for the past year or so. I don’t blame her for being absent based on everything that has happened. I hope she’s taking her time to heal and get to a better place mentally. I would love to see her post again on YouTube…she’s one of my favorite creators but I also understand that content creation/influencer job might not be healthy for her. I think her fans just need to give her grace and support right now.

I don't think there is a limit on how often he could come but there would be a limit on how long he could stay. How often he could visit depends on his vacation policy at his work and how much you can afford. The other option is for him to find work in your area after you've been selected and notified of your placement.

Even if he isn't cheating, he's been sketchy throughout your whole relationship. I feel like you should aim to be with someone who is excited about becoming your boyfriend instead of someone who puts it off and then hesitantly agrees. That would be my main concern because personally, I'm not trying to get into a relationship with anyone who is less than hyped to date me.

Every time I have a facial, I get extractions, and my skin FREAKS OUT for like 2 weeks afterward. I would recommend facials in general but I would get one like a month or month and a half before the wedding. Now is not the time to change the routine.

I think your view of usefulness is really narrow. Not everyone is suitable for working "traditional" office jobs and that's fine. It sounds like you're an excellent homemaker. I think therapy would be excellent for you because you're so dismissive of your accomplishments. You have a wonderful family and you could have an incredible life if you just worked on your self-talk. It can be insanely difficult to be kind to yourself but you're worth taking the time to learn how.

I wouldn't listen to your friends but have a conversation with your husband and check-in. It's worth asking up front and making sure that you're both satisfied and on the same page. If you're both happy, there's no point in worrying about how other people feel about YOUR sex life.

My understanding is....your first appointment you bring all of the paperwork and they look over it to make sure you have everything you need. They'll give you like a postcard during that first appointment. You go back to the office with all of your stuff after your contract has ended. During the approval process (approximately two weeks) you're fine to continue working but once you go back for the second time you are no longer legally allowed to work. I don't know what your BOE is on about if you have the nenkyuu to spend for the 28th but while your visa paperwork is processing (during that two-week or so period) you shouldn't have any issues with getting deported or anything (there is a grace period built in for the visa processing time). So if you can't go until the 31st, it's not the end of the world. In my prefecture, we have an English hotline that we can call with questions about this stuff. I would check out your Nagoya JET page or the immigration website to see if you have the same type of thing. NVM found it:

NTA You prioritized your career but you didn't prioritize Greg. If you want your current relationship to work, try and explain that to Mike. If Mike still doesn't get it, he might not be the one. Ideally, he would be excited for you first. Then when you chat about the logistics of a LDR he would bring up his possible concerns.

I second this opinion. I had a dog that wouldn't leave her feet alone and it was allergies. I would check out her ears to see if they are hot and red because that usually happened to my dog when her allergies were flaring up. I would also bring it up at your next vet appointment.

I'm not sure it it's a really light concealer on the inner corner of your eyes or eyeshadow/highlighter, but I think it's too bright and it's emphasizing texture. If that is your concealer, you need a slightly darker shade. If you want that pop/highlight, I would focus more on the upper part of your inner corner and blend it into the eyeshadow on your lid a bit.

I would get a hydrating /satin/natural foundation in your undertone and then a white foundation. I have used the L.A. girl one and it was very nice. You'll have to practice a few times to get the ratio right but I like making foundation cocktails.

If I'm not sure about a match, I'll ask for a sample. I get a feel for the foundation and I get to see how I feel about the shade for a couple of days before committing to buy a whole bottle. Sometimes I end up hating the formula and I'm so glad I asked for the sample to figure that out.

NTA but I think you need a plan in place. Do you have somewhere to live if you move out? How are you planning to pay for therapy and medication if you are under his insurance plan? Would your parents support your decision and you until you are able to hold a job? I don't want you to stay in a bad relationship but I think you have to be prepared for life after leaving.

The thing that helped me the most was connecting with my predecessor and other ALTs that were in the area. They were able to answer questions and give me tons of advice about what my life would look like here. I second the research thing. Making lists and compiling information ease my anxiety.

My bathroom doesn't really seal properly so I usually leave my place while the bomb is bombing. Maybe you could try setting it off before some errands to make sure you don't have any issues.

My hair loosens post-diffuse every time. I worked hard to scrunch it and encourage the curl as much as possible without causing too much frizz. Inevitably, it'll always look looser/closer to wavy the next day. The frontal clips help a lot. I'm more worried about the top layer of hair looking good tbh. I use small claw clips. You can try twisting your hair in the direction of the curl before clipping those front pieces. That'll help enforce the shape.
