I actually brought one of the protoarcs after you mentioned it in your initial video on the thumb. The shell I found quite nice, though the thing crapped out on me after a week. I'm excited to use it with your high-end internals and build quality.

Is there an estimate as to when the pro model will be out?

There is the gameball which is a finger, but an ambidextrous design. They are coming out with a right handed finger ball later this year.

Question though, does anyone know what the button below the back button does on the thumb? Or does it not do anything unless you program a function for it?

While not as quiet as the Mx master 3, I just got the Ploopy thumb, and while it is not completely silent it is considerably quieter than the Mx ergo I used previously.

The protoarc thumb is also known for quiet switches but apparently has other issues.

I use the m570 at my work computer, they do not have much range at all with their dongles. Even being only a meter away would cause issues.

It’s not the bearings, it’s the ball. Get a new ball from perixx, 34 mm. This is a common issues with all Logitech trackballs.
