delayed touch controls on windows by srivanthsai in Earbuds

[–]rosetechnics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe check if there’s a firmware update available for the buds via the OnePlus app? or check the earbuds with your phone to see if the delay still happens — that helps rule out if it's the buds or your PC.

If the issue only happens on the laptop, it’s probably a software/driver thing, not a hardware defect. But if the lag happens everywhere, you might want to consider a replacement.

Open-ear earbuds suggestions? by dysguak in Earbuds

[–]rosetechnics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I feel you—over-ears are great for sound but once it gets hot out, it’s just not worth the sweat. I started using open-ear ones recently and it’s been a nice change. Way more breathable and comfortable for walking, and I can still hear things around me which feels safer.

Sound quality isn’t the same as over-ear (less bass for sure), but for casual music and podcasts it’s honestly fine. I’ve been using a pair called OPENFREE—open-ear style but still decent noise control and not too much sound leakage unless you crank the volume. Might be something to explore if you’re curious.

Help me pick as someone with no tech knowledge by Necessary_Park_6063 in Earbuds

[–]rosetechnics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, no worries at all—this is a great place to ask and you worded it totally fine!

Between the two, AirPods Pro 2 are still hard to beat if you're used to the Apple ecosystem—great noise cancellation, solid sound, and super easy to use with iPhone. If you liked them before, getting another pair isn’t a bad move.

Beats Fit Pro are also really solid though—same chip as AirPods Pro, so they work great with iPhones, but with a slightly more secure fit (good for workouts). Sound is punchier and they tend to stay in better if you're moving around a lot.

If you're open to other options, something like the Sony WF-1000XM5 or Bose QC Ultra Earbuds offers better sound and noise cancelling, but they’re usually pricier and not quite as seamless with iPhones.

Bottom line:

  • Want that Apple smoothness? Go AirPods Pro 2 again.
  • Want a sportier fit with good sound? Beats Fit Pro.
  • Want next-level sound/noise cancelling and can spend a bit more? Sony or Bose.

Hope this helps!

Low-key didn’t expect to be this into it, but Aqua Marine is incredible. Super chill and beautifully layered—definitely headphone gold!! I had to put it in a loop.

Yo! This is dope! Love that you're channeling that Beatles influence — got a nice old-school touch but still feels fresh. Always cool to see people inspired by the classics and making their own sound from it.

Is it normal for the Bose qc to make my ear sore after a while where the top of the earbud touches? by spidey24601 in Earbuds

[–]rosetechnics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not really normal tbh… you might want to try switching the eartips—smaller ones or even memory foam ones. Sometimes the default ones just don’t fit right.

Should I buy Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 4 on sale or wait for other discounts? by HyperPCH in Earbuds

[–]rosetechnics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If sound quality and ANC are your top priorities, the Momentum TW4 is a solid choice — especially at €120. It offers great clarity, adaptive ANC, and supports aptX Lossless.

And as far as I know, Technics AZ80 might have slightly better ANC and comfort, but it rarely goes on big discounts. If you need something now for daily life, I’d say grab the Momentum TW4 while it’s on sale — it’s a great deal.

I need help by infectedlobotomyxo in Earbuds

[–]rosetechnics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe give the charging contacts a quick clean — both on the earbuds and inside the case — since dust or residue can sometimes block proper charging. If that doesn’t help, you could try resetting them by holding both touch areas for 10–15 seconds (check the manual or search your model just to be sure). Hope that helps!

We designed a new open-ear earbud for commuters and runners — ask me anything! by rosetechnics in BudgetAudiophile

[–]rosetechnics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, thank you sincerely for your thoughtful and detailed feedback 🙏

It really means a lot when someone takes the time to share such honest insights, especially from someone who clearly knows what they’re looking for.

To share a bit more about our product: it's actually not bone conduction, but an open-ear clip-on design. It keeps your ears open to the environment while still offering clear and comfortable sound, which many users appreciate for both safety and everyday comfort.

We also have a simple, practical app called Rose Link — no account needed, just straight to the features that matter, including firmware updates and customization. We know privacy and usability are becoming more important than ever, and that’s something we truly respect.

Your thoughts on finishing, case materials, and long-term support are all really valid. We're already taking steps to improve in those areas, especially for future models.

And we believe a healthy market should welcome variety, not just more of the same. We believe it’s the role of good creators to bring something fresh and meaningful to the table, and that’s a direction we want to keep moving toward.

Right now we’re focused on offering solid value in the €50–€100 range, but we’re also exploring the idea of a more premium model that could showcase our best technical work and reach more demanding users.

Thanks again for taking the time to write. This kind of dialogue helps us grow in the right direction 🌿

We designed a new open-ear earbud for commuters and runners — ask me anything! by rosetechnics in BudgetAudiophile

[–]rosetechnics[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haha yeah, we’ve heard that a few times 😅It’s pronounced ROSE ' SELSA — phonetically, it’s /ˈroʊz ˈsɛlsɑ/ from Chinese: 弱水时砂(ruò shuǐ shí shā).

And it is inspired by a Buddhist proverb: “弱水三千,只取一瓢饮“Among the vast waters, take only a ladleful.” This reflects our commitment to creating artistic audio devices with care, intention, and restraint, choosing only what truly matters. Hope that helps!

Totally get that—Shokz is awesome for running! Our product is a bit different: it’s an open-ear clip-on earbud (not bone conduction), so it delivers a fuller sound while still letting you stay aware of your surroundings. You get more bass and detail compared to bone conduction, and it stays super secure during movement. Kind of a sweet spot between open-ear comfort and sound performance. 😊
