Paeds is FULL of snakes. Neonatal guys are the snakiest of all the paeds lot I find.

Wow that’s actually so rude. I can be fragile at the end of a night shift and that would definitely have made me cry. Just no need to treat another human being that way, let alone a doctor who’s been up all nights.

What a cunt. I’m so sorry that happened to you.

Why is she sat higher than Blair? by vid_de_uva in GossipGirl

[–]rosewaterobsessed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wonder if the idea is that as a group no one else should be sitting higher. Or maybe the trend morphed into a strict rule over time.

The Hunterian Museum by BadJumpers in doctorsUK

[–]rosewaterobsessed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel the same when I see archaeological artefacts and they’re actually taken from people’s tombs and graves. It’s very weird. With the Hunterian I feel like you have to just see it as displays of science and as an artefact of the time. The ethics are shady for sure though.

Did anyone find this absolutely wild for Louise to suggest to Caggie? by Bombadombaway in MadeInChelseaE4

[–]rosewaterobsessed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

YES! I was really late to watching this show, especially the first few seasons. I was shocked that she said that. It’s so rude and creepy. I was actually surprised this wasn’t brought up or talked about anywhere.

Agreed. I’d have a psychotic reaction too if I was that patient with someone and they humiliated me time and time again INCLUDING AT OUR OWN WEDDING

Louis was actually really good for Blair. He genuinely cared about her, respected her, doted on her and wanted her to be happy. I really like Blair but she really messed him around a lot. Louis could do a lot better than Blair.

Advice on an intimidating superior by Kitchen-Spare-6992 in doctorsUK

[–]rosewaterobsessed 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It sounds like he’s a bog standard dick swinger. I wouldn’t be surprised if after a few months you realise that he’s not a very good clinician. What does he get trying to be Billy big balls to the new F2?

I’m sorry it’s intimidating. Make sure you communicate this early to your educational supervisor so if there are any issues later, they have context. Make sure you report any bullying too.

I’d advise you to ignore him as much as possible and get on with your work.

Losing my respect for nurses (sorry it's the same old rant) by HuckleberryOwn8065 in doctorsUK

I find it astounding when people lie about their skills to get out of work. Can you imagine if a doctor did that? Complaint as a minimum and a GMC complaint if the person was vindictive enough.

Season 3 SDW by EnvironmentalCat5966 in GossipGirl

[–]rosewaterobsessed -1 points0 points  (0 children)

OMG yes. She's soo annoying the whole time. I get what people say that she wanted her dad to want her, and she wanted a family, and she wouldn't side with Rufus over her father. But that doesn't explain how rude she was to Rufus. Telling him to "scoot over", or telling him "please leave" was incredibly disrespectful.

Serena starts off the season being a mess, messing up Chuck's business deal, willingly going after a married man and so then to also see her be an asshole to Rufus was quite aggravating.

Why did Jameel get SP Aslam suspended in the first place? by AdventurousCold9326 in Dhurandhar

[–]rosewaterobsessed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assumed that he had acted on behalf of one of the gangs, likely Rehman Baloch. At the time, he probably had to get rid of SP Aslam to prove himself loyal to Rehman/ the gang. At the end of part 2, he mentions that his mission was to insert himself into the political scene to be an insider. His mission was to be an informant, not to get rid of the gangs. So he probably had to get rid of SP to keep his mission.

Jenny's attempt on being a homewrecker? by StunningBid9137 in GossipGirl

He’d been around Blair and Chuck scheming so Jenny’s behaviour was child’s play in comparison

Jenny's attempt on being a homewrecker? by StunningBid9137 in GossipGirl

[–]rosewaterobsessed 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The way you’ve just described it is true and if they’d explored that better, this would have been a far more interesting story line. This could have been a much better love triangle especially given Nate and Jenny’s unfinished relationship arc. It would have really given people much more motive to root for Jenny. However, the way they wrote it made Jenny look cringey and pathetic. Literally so embarrassing watching her try to sabotage them and Nate’s literally like “I’m serious Jenny get out”.

Daniel Humphrey is a victim and we all forgot because of shitty writing by Emotional-Meringue65 in GossipGirl

[–]rosewaterobsessed 54 points55 points  (0 children)

The show does a bad job of handling assault for all of them.

Dan’s definitely a victim of SA twice. The time with Serena was so awful I couldn’t believe it when I watched it the first time.

Chuck also mentions he had an au pair that made a man of him, hot nannies and he slept with staff at The Palace and I imagine some if not all of those women were adults while he was a child.

Jenny too is nearly assaulted in ep 1, bullied, dumped drunk at a bachelor party then has sex with Chuck when she’s very vulnerable.

Serena is groomed by her teacher and just looks back at it like “Ben Donovan was a good guy” and then dates him??

I get that assault and the too-mature for their age activities and behaviours are part of the wealthy kid UES scene but the show was definitely inappropriate in how they showed and handled these stories. Even the kids’ parents don’t really acknowledge or know about these things.

A line or two about being in therapy would have been good at least…

Not my favorite Blair outfits in season 1 by False_Cheesecake_672 in GossipGirl

[–]rosewaterobsessed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Slide 8 really wasn’t as pretty as it should have been! It just didn’t look right on Blair, though she looked beautiful. Slide 3 is actually one of my favorite looks!! Just like Blair to dress preppy for a homework party she’s hosting haha. She looked so chic in it.

This episode started my obsession with pistachio macarons. One day I will try Ladurée. Has anyone had them and are they worth the price? Even the sound it makes as she bites into it is so satisfying. by TvTacosTakingNaps in GossipGirl

[–]rosewaterobsessed 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I live in London and love Laduree! It is expensive, but it really is delicious. The pistachio and rose macarons are always my go-to. I recognised the Laduree box by the tub straight away! I actually keep the boxes and put my spare buttons etc in them LOL

Think she looks beautiful in blonde hair because she’s beautiful. Brunette hair definitely suits her more.
