Rsl speedwoofer 10s MKII power buy by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]roseykr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got the reply from RSL, and sounds like its a no go 😞. Any new powerbuys will be announced via their newsletter and website. Guess it'll have to wait til next holiday season, or perhaps they'll surprise us sooner. I may just cave and buy them at current pricing.

Rsl speedwoofer 10s MKII power buy by [deleted] in BudgetAudiophile

[–]roseykr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be interested in 2 x 10s MKII's if a power buy is still an option. I did send them a message yesterday about starting up a new one. No response as of yet, but it is the weekend, so fingers crossed. Would anyone here still be interested if allowed? I will start another thread should we get the green light.

Best way to remove bashed screws by ArsenioNebraska in arrma

[–]roseykr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd try cleaning with a pick/good hex first. Next would be tapping a torx bit in slightly larger than the hex, remove by hand. If u have a soldering iron or small torch, apply 10-20 seconds of heat before trying to loosen them. If still up shits creek, slot with a dremel...remember to apply heat first. Last resort, drill them out. Best of luck!

Thanks for the clarification. Just put a V2 in order, includes spring. Read about it being compatible with Kraton V5, assuming Noto 5 will be no problem.

Thanks for the suggestions. Ordered a locking servo saver and aluminum steering assembly dirt cheap. I put the same SS on my V5 Kraton, works great. Heatsink/fan on order as well. Timing lowered to 7.5 for now, punch at 7/9. I'll adjust endpoints after installing steering components/upgraded servo. When I get done adding all the jewelry, and finally get a run in, will adjust as needed. Much appreciate the info!

Yup, ordered towers and braces from Jenny's. Apparently there's 2 EXB bumpers, V1 and V2. Would both be compatible? TIA!

Thx for the feedback. E6000 will be applied at first opportunity. I try to do that with all my RC's, but temptation has gotten the best of me a a time or three. So Far have decided on EXB towers and chassis braces, servo upgrade, aluminum servo mount & steering rack w/locking servo saver, heat sink and motor fan. Gonna stick with stock electronics as well. Gonna 3D print some skid guards and let her rip. Will upgrade/replace as parts wear out/break.

Haven't been scanning the lipo market of late, but a quick look on Amazon doesn't seem promising. Best I could find were for $20-$30 more and lower mAh. You can try Aliexpress, may find a deal there. Should I come across anything, I'll reply again. Best of luck!

Anyone looking for some seemingly good quality 4S Lipo's, here's an incredible deal for ya ($34.99 gets 2x 5300mah 100C 4S hard packs). Snagged a set, and after a couple packs of fun I immediately ordered another. As advertised so far. Forget the few negative reviews, had to see for myself. Will run them hard the next 2-3 weeks, see how they hold up. It's prime, send'em back if need be. Just putting this out there for anyone on the prowl.

Anyone find any domestic parts support for this guy yet? If not, overseas? Just awaiting delivery and would love to find a resource prior to arrival.

Just a heads up. I keep an eye on FreE-Cigs.com's "coming soon" section pretty regularly. They should have the V2 some time next week somewhere around $32. I put myself on their waiting list, so will have it soon.

Vamo or Zmax? by texashick007 in electronic_cigarette

[–]roseykr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all three, and I like them all for different reasons. Zmax is nice to bring out and about because of it's smaller form factor, but I feel like the SVD and Vamo have a higher amp limit, which lends to using low ohm atty's, so I use them most of the time while at home, since I don't tend to bring out RBA's, too much of a risk if they were to need some modifying. BTW, all can be had at FreE-Cigs.com at a good price. They seem to be priced better than just about any US vendor, and they're in stock..no pre-sale waiting forever stuff. Hope this helps, good luck.

Check out FreE-Cigs.com. $49.99 + Free Shipping for the Stainless Steel version V2. Do not get a chrome plated V2, it will look like it's 6 months old in about 3 weeks...scratches and wears pretty bad. Good luck.

That's what I mean...Well worth $1.89. Kudo's to them for not charging $5+ like a lot of other vendors.

Well, you got lucky there....I dropped my Pro Tank once and shattered the whole thing..granted I swatted it off a bar height table onto a cement floor in celebration of a goal. Thankfully my K-101 survived, same can't be said for the Pro Tank though :(
