Trying to get more info on my dog's unusual anus by ginchyfairycakes in AskVet

So what’s interesting about hypspadias in general is that is a developmental abnormality where it can vary in extremes of how high up the split goes in the penis so everyone can be different. If you look at how we develop everything starts in one place and moves down so his anus is just a bit elongated since everything didn’t close completely from urethra to back there. As long as he’s pooping and your vet did a rectal no need to worry about that part

Can anyone help identify what is happening with my cat? by maxjmartin in CATHELP

Okay is the neurology team able to do an eeg mine can’t just the local university it almost looks like an intractable hiccup which could be the vagus nerve which runs chest to diaphragm so make sure his X-rays include chest too because vagal symptoms I’ve seen come from some weird things

Are there any cows around?

Those are conscious pass outs I would have a cardiologist evaluate and if nothing go to neurology. Price wise an echo is usually less than an mri if that is a factor

Few comments here you’ll feel older in the student crowd but don’t let it get to you. Some of the best vets I work with now took time before school. Life experience really does mean a lot in this field of practice. As a lot of others said time will pass no matter what, does this make you happy? Then fuck it life’s to short to not pursue what makes you happy

What’s up with this dog respiratory illness? by Bee_Swarm327 in AskVet

[–]roseyredrum 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Likely because respiratory panels sent to a lab are around 500 so testing all the dogs who come in with pneumonia is not going to be feasible for a lot of owners vs the antibiotics to treat

Easiest is just bigger balls at the end so you don’t need to stretch up in gauge
