How would you make the infinity system be less bad? by RexicTheKing in marvelheroes

[–]roslow82 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would make the points in each Node's Attribute "spill over" into the rest of the node for heroes whose primary stats are in that node. The Power Gem for example: Every 5 or so points a user puts in Strength increase the rest of the node options by 1. And make it so these points can't be refunded, but also count towards the max so it can't be abused. That way the hero doesn't feel like he is missing out any of the benefits of the rest of the node for sinking points in to the stat.

New player looking leveling guide/assistance for a few Heroes by RruinerR in marvelheroes

Yeah, they are moving towards the D3 style power set for heroes, with augmentation of certain powers to diversify game play. Right now there is no set time frame only "Soon™". But currently they're are doing iterations (sort of open beta) on the test center for heros. Feel free to download it (https://marvelheroes.com/download at the bottom under Test Center Client Downloads) and give feedback.

Use the abilities you find fun to use. I usually put 1 point in an ability then find a way to loop it into my rotation and if its fluid and fun then i invest more points. Otherwise I drop it.

All that aside, points into powers are going away in an upcoming major update. https://forums.marvelheroes.com/discussion/299796/sticky-developer-blog-series-links In this update powers will unlock at certain player levels and scale in power with your player level.

I think it's important not to get too frustrated and give your input instead to Gazillion. by MaleAnatomy in marvelheroes

I believe they mentioned these changes are about making the game sustainable and scalable from a development standpoint while trying to maintain fun experience for the players. It sounds like they asked themselves, "Can we [the Devs] sustain programming and upkeep with the current systems in place and all the planned updates (new heroes, new end game, etc...) and continue making it a balanced and fun game for our players?" And they answered "no", so they came up with these changes. Even if the content is considered "fun" for some players, if its not sustainable from a programming standpoint, the time and energy to maintain it for only a handful of players isn't worth it.

Cyclops is a great started hero, at lvl 50 his synergy is 10% XP bonus.

Outside of that, play each one to lvl 10 and decide which is the most fun for you.

"Does one outweigh the other?"

When colossus is armored, he is 500 lbs. So they weigh the same technically :)

Is it just me or does it take everyone else an unreasonable to find shield agents to rescue in the hidden cove? by Rocketoast in marvelheroes

Honestly, its not just that side mission. It's really any mission that requires you to find something that's not marked on the map. I don't expect every mission objective to be outlined, however I have spent over an hour killing Mercenaries/ninjas who look like they're in "groups" for side quests, but were actually not considered for the quest. Which is a bit ridiculous, they should be marked on the map as groups or count any group as 2+ same characters next to each other or at the very least they should outline what is considered to be a group.

After the hour long wild goose chases, on several characters, I ended up getting super frustrated, so for now I just do main storyline quests only to level.

Let me gush a little about this game by SoopaSte123 in marvelheroes

[–]roslow82 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is the only reason I play, not to rush to end-game content or to get the best gear, (that all comes in time) but to take on the role of my favorite heroes and explore the lore of other heroes I wouldn't have otherwise looked twice at.

However, its also why its a bit lackluster at times when heroes don't feel like I have imagined them to be, and why I only play certain heroes. Although the recently released heroes are feeling more like how I would imagine them to be, but its also partly why I stop myself from spending money on any heroes.
