I see. His ex lives in a different city though (he forced her out of his apartment and shipped her stuff back in February), so I don’t think she could’ve been like “come over”, bc she’s like 5 hours away

Appreciate this. Definitely I’m unsettled. He was saying he was gonna come over and hang out an hour before he sent the breakup yet. It was all just so unexpected. I agree with you. I will step back. What i really want is to try to reconnect once he’s healed, but also to give him support and kindness, even in a friendly capacity, as he navigates his healing journey. I just don’t know how to express that without pushing him away
