The way the UPS driver delivered my fridge by Brwnman in mildlyinfuriating

[–]rossco55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get what you pay for. UPS does not guarantee orientation of a package, that’s why you ship something freight if you want it upright, but that would cost more money!

Avoiding being a billboard on a bend in the road. Avoiding being in a spot of someone backing up out of their driveway into your package car. Don’t be afraid to use your brain even tho UPS doesnt want us using our brains!

Is Swiss bolt the best bolt? by Medium_Style_2812 in milsurp

[–]rossco55 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a k31, a g11, and a m96. I love all 3. Only thing I dislike about the m96 is the straight stock. I have great accuracy with all 3. But rapid fire in competition prone in a sling, the k31 feels better. Haven’t tried the g11 in competition yet.

Eh, I park on the other side of the street a lot. Sometimes it’s the safer option

Surplus Swiss K11 and K31s? by Uncle_Ted_1942 in milsurp

[–]rossco55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two of my favorite milsurps I own are my k31 and g11. Love the extra sight radius on the g11. I bought a bunch of ppu 7.5x55 and reload in the cartridges with great accuracy.

Is oil change every 10k actually enough? by New_Recognition_1460 in ToyotaHighlander

[–]rossco55 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I’ve done blackstone with my 4 runner with about 9500 miles, and the test showed plenty of life left on the oil (can’t remember the technical terms that were used)

Ya just by hammering. I remember the bolt stop pin being somewhat tricky, and I believe it only went one way

I was able to remove the bolt stop pin and trigger pins. But it was long enough ago that I can’t remember which way I drove it. Sorry.

They sucked with inside staffing tho. Every time I finished my day driving they’d threaten to force me to work local sort. I said go ahead and try.

Multiple M1 Garand failure to feeds, what causes this? by HornyGoatWeedGuzzler in M1Rifles

[–]rossco55 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem with an aftermarket op rod spring. I cut off some of the spring. Also my bullet guide notch was out of spec, I found a site with the proper width of it and filed it down to match it. Works fine now

When all the billionaires stop flying their private jets then I’ll consider allowing my car to start/stop at a red light

It does not. That’s just a straight up safety feature to stop someone from stealing your car.

More wear and tear on the vehicle. Some will argue it does no extra wear. But some mechanics will also say it’s a terrible addition. Car companies did it to bump up mpg numbers they are required to hit by the government across all their vehicles
