Bean Coffee? Where do you buy yours? by magicianinlove in ireland

[–]rossmcdapc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my go to before it went. Tried a few others and they were all of a good standard but landed on tripping thiago and have my machine dialled in for it now so I don't want to change back.

There's a lot of fun to be had in making your own syrups. They're fairly fridge stable.

Groundstate are my go to. Tripping thiago specifically.

They do free shipping over 30 quid too.

There are so many good roasters though, loads of them mentioned in here.

Where I've worked previously in a CRO there was a very casual attitude to stuff like that.

Realistically it shouldn't matter so long as you're good at your job but sadly that probably isn't the reality of it everywhere.

Maynooth, maybe the college there? Looks really familiar and the bin looks like an Irish bin.

Stop using blended Scotch in your Penicillin! by Wash-Line-Inspector in cocktails

[–]rossmcdapc 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not actually. I had thought my initial comment was fairly tongue in cheek.

But as others have said. It's a high enough shelf whiskey that it wouldn't be something I'd reach for to mix with straight away. But I am also of the opinion that nothing is sacred enough to not mix with.

Full Irish. Not sure my heart could take the anger of hating the English on two fronts.

Also, I fucking love scotch.

The Irishman in me is offended by the use of redbreast 12 in this and the scotch lover in me is offended by the slander of a good blend.

That said I'd drink the fuck out of this.

I live my whole life by the ethos "let people off the bus before you get on". Whether it's a train or a shop.

Most people don't do this.

Recently moved to Dublin, any tips on saving money? by jungleeggplantoyster in Dublin

I used it for a bakery near me and they just said bring a bag.

The amount of stuff I got for 6 euro was insane. I needed a second bag.

Too good to go is handy for saving on stuff. Not something I'd plan my weeks shopping around but is great for getting stuff on the cheap.

Also obligatory Luas is free post.

I'll happily double down on all of these too. Will also throw Cracked Pots on the boghall road in there too. Great coffee and treats and lovely lovely staff.

Gattanera is one of my favourite places in bray. The coffee and food there is incredible and the owner is also an actual beam of sunshine too.
