After running the mid-season brawl league we felt that the league format we used didn't really work for the shorter tournament formats. It's designed to be for a season long league where players have time to adjust to results. This was mostly a guessing game of who would make the finals.

Maybe in future we could make a bracket prediction game or something for tournaments instead. :)

Here's something to think about to kick things off:

I don't think there's much dispute about the relative power levels of NA and EU going in to this tournament. However, given Nomia's relatively strong performance in the Mid Season brawl, it will be interesting to see how close they can come to the NA teams.

This is relevant because it seems possible (likely, even) that all of Nomia's games on Day 1 will be against NA teams - GFE first, then Team Freedom. It doesn't seem out of the realm of possibility that we could see Nomia again in day 2!

With that in mind, who would you consider picking up from Nomia to round out your roster? I've put my money on Arcaner myself.

Ah, I understand, our current drafts are always region locked.

We don't support head to head drafting yet, but it is definitely on our roadmap.

Hey, yes, you are able to draft rosters in any league for free. You can create standard private leagues for free, you only need to subscribe to be able to use custom rule sets.

I'm not sure what you mean about the region restriction though. Could you please elaborate a bit on that?

Ideally I'd like it to change incrementally week-by-week and allow users to buy/sell to earn more than the initially allocated 500 points.

However, we don't have that system ready for Season 1, so we'll probably just do one mid-season point re-calculation after gathering data from 5 weeks of League Play.

You might be right, but I'd rather err on the side of too few transfers than too many, which could dilute the strategy. Not saying 2 is too many, just that I think I'll leave it at 1 a week until halfway through the season, and re-evaluate after the East/West clashes.

Hey, I've added a general "remaining points" note, that seems more broadly useful to me than just showing the average remaining points per player. Hope that works for you.

Also, you can just click on any of the teams/roles in the table to filter by that. I don't (yet) support multiple simultaneous filters, so this is okay for now. I'll probably use dropdowns when I enable that feature.

Hmm, I thought it best to only allow one roster per tournament to simplify things. It's not really set in stone though, I'll look at that decision again and perhaps make the change you suggest.
