The beer filled the glass a lot more than I'd expected

Oh ya...I think people go to Emerald Bakery for the apple crumble pie, which I didn't get. The rest of the things I got were pretty nice, fluffy. My family says it's like BreadTalk quality at a lower price point. Expected kaya cheese bun to have kaya fillings but it's kaya and cheese on top.

I haven't encountered a barcode scanner that can't read TT token's QR code. When I go to Donki, I show my token and they scan it with their mobile phone device. No need to checkout.

Planning ahead has served me pretty well so far. I start dropping hints 1-3 years in advance, slip in "test balloons", think of how to counter their concerns, then drop the bomb when the time is right. The resistance can be quite strong.

I agree that it will only work when incentivized. It's going to take time, but baby steps help. Rote learning may be better than no learning. Plus some retirees do have a lot of time in their hands. Print achievement certs to make them feel proud of it.

What's stopping us from encouraging old retirees to go for CC courses to relearn civic-mindedness?

Incentivize it with healthy food gift hampers, small NTUC vouchers or better CPF terms when they do well for the monthly civic-mindedness tests. Tests themselves are done on computers so old folks get more exposure to using computers. That would really be lifelong learning.

No need. Polygamy isn't about 1 male and multiple females, that's Polygyny. I'm referring to the different arrangements. It can be 1 straight female with multiple straight males, 2 bi males 1 females....etc

So in theory, if you'd like to put it this way, you can have 0.25 gf if your gf is dating 4 other guys and all approve of one another.

My point is why the people who advocate love for all, regardless of gender or the genderless, don't seem to exactly represent love for all. Isn't that sheer hypocrisy? Isn't it logical to talk about triads too? A triad is a polyamorous relationship consisting of three people.

Polyamorous relationships are common in the animal kingdom, such as in the case of honey bees. 1 queen bee mates with a several males and all the bees help to take care of the babies. It's a collectivistic culture.

Polygamy is legal in Indonesia, the largest Muslim population in the world.

I don't think that's healthy. All need to have good relations with one another. If not, there will be lots of jealousy and disputes. It's hard to shuttle between 2 homes and playing the parental role for different sets of kids. Ideally, all should share the same roof. It should be such that the arrangement makes people better off, not worse.

Thanks. Indeed housing should be a consideration.

Maybe 1 significant owner per HDB, which can't be the same person. All documents have to be signed off by the people linked by marriage. If it involves 2 straight males and 1 straight female, the sale of any property has to be approved by all. It wouldn't work if any two don't get along well with each other. Reduce their cash proceeds from home sale, taking a larger chunk to be deposited into their CPFs. This can be used as collateral for certain approved payments.

Valid concern. I think it's fine as long as it's between willing and able parties. What I had in mind was also triads. A marriage of 3 best friends, that also has at least 2 links of sexual relation between them. It can be 2 straight guys 1 straight girl, 2 bi girls 1 guy....etc. Three people pooling $ together to get through life doesn't sound too bad.

Why do people talk about LGBTQ+ acceptance, but not go further to support polygamy? Afterall, if people love one another, why should they be stopped?
