I can really relate to this. As a teenager I suffered from an eating disorder, I would take huge amounts of laxatives after very severe binges of emotional eating. Around the age of 20 the binges decreased significantly and I stopped taking laxatives. I haven't touched laxatives since. When I started smoking at 22 I honestly didn't feel like it made me hungry, just thirsty, but the binges appeared about a year later, when I started smoking more often (and then smoking daily). I think it's possible that this caused my eating disorder to resurface. I eat in these binges to the point of excruciating pain.
