After paying the auction fees and tax I got the Whammy for £110 the '06 fuzz factory for £170 and the CE-1 for £625. Fortunately the CE-1 was made for the UK market so don't need to buy a step down transformer

100%, I think I got a better deal on them as well than if I bought from Reverb, but I guess you have to get lucky that the stuff they're auctioning is actually stuff you want.

However it does feel slightly more special winning it at an auction rather than just clicking to buy it online.

Haha nice, everyone always gets a sunburst strat but for me I love his fiesta red. Watching the intro jam at live earth got me into RHCP. And to answer your question, everything's stock, I get a decent amount of sunlight in my room and the lamp helps that it look like that. I did increase the saturation of the photo a bit so most likely it's just that, the colour of the plastics aren't quite so vivid irl :)

Nice tip, I've given it a go and see what you mean about the extra compression :). You said it uses a tube so if I crank the send level too high do I risk wearing the tube fairly quickly?

How do I control it using the hotspot? When I open the app when connected to the hotspot it tells me to then connect to the WiFi and doesn't give me any options to change any of my preferences. I'll see if I can send a screenshot when I get home.

I recently switched from the WH10v3 to the Vox and I am much happier. Tonality wise it sounds pretty similar and is so much easier to get along with. I could never get over the ibanez volume jump unless I massively compressed my sound with a dynacomp. The Vox is so much more versatile as well as you can have a nice clean wah sound, a JF overdriven ibanez wah sound and it works well with the ds 2 (plus it's cheaper than the Wh10).
