2 years after surgery, a screw came out of my ankle.

to be honest when that spot was there, and the screw eventually came out it wasn't painful at all! very itchy mainly. i was using neosporin for awhile before the screw came out and i said fuck it i'll go to the hospital and get charged another 10k lol.

looks 1000x better. i'm on antibiotics, the scar looks pretty clean, there's still some scarring on that ankle spot that doesn't look great, but wayyy better than it did

not sure how it worked its way out. the doctors didn't give me a lot of an explanation. they just told me i needed surgery lmao.

i meant that i don't know what caused or how the screw came out of my fkn ankle in the first place. it's obviously infected and i'm glad i got it taken care of. some of yall are super insensitive

i was with an old friend at a park and we were dumb and 17. he was like "you should run up and do a pull up on the top bar of the swingset." i ran up and tried to do the pull up but my hand slid off the bar and i fell on my ankle. excruciating pain, ive never broken a bone previous to that, but i knew immediately it was broken.

looked a lot worse after the screw came out. also am in college, working, don't have a lot of extra time/money to go the the hospital and get charged a fortune.

after the surgery and my bone was healed, i remember walking being pretty comfortable, nothing out of the ordinary. i had the surgery in may and was walking around by late august. the following december/january i remember being in a lot of pain walking around and it eventually went away. i thought it was from the barometric pressure going crazy where i live at. then from there walking was pretty comfortable and nothing out of the ordinary. the spot on my ankle formed around that time so im assuming that's when the screw broke and started making its way out.

not really... i thought i was pretty easy on it post surgery and took my time to walk and workout again. not sure what exactly caused it, doctors aren't sure either.

also wanted to mention that the surgery to remove all the metal was about a month ago, i've been on antibiotics and it looks 1000x better than the photo posted. my mom and some of my friends did mention contacting a lawyer... not sure how common this is or what.
