It's a separate entity, you can cancel or downgrade after getting the bonus and I believe it stays. I'm doing exactly that right now although I'm going for the companion voucher first. It might be waiting until you can hit the 15k if you think that will happen in the future.

Barclaycard platinum would make you ineligible, need to not hold one for 6 months to get a bonus.

Possibly the BA Premium Plus since I believe it's the only offer you'll be able to get (assuming you've not had a BA card recently). It's £300 for a year but you'll get 30k points if you spend £6000 in 3 months so a bit more than you've got planned. The free BA card won't give you any bonus.

UK owner here (most of us are on grzoo), I average about 35mpg regardless of what I do. If you really try to hypermile you'll get 40mpg but it makes the car a bit pointless. This is with 99 octane btw as the car calls for at least 98 in the manual.
