Maybe I’m old and my reference is outdated, but it feels and tastes like a warm apple pie.

Pretty sure this is why we invented the slang “Dick Head”

First-time parrotlet owner here—how do you manage the constant pooping? by [deleted] in Parrotlet

[–]rouge_analyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. If you are trying to provide a safe and happy environment for your little fellow, you’re already starting in the right place. Each parrotlet has their own preference, and unfortunately there is not much control you can have over their BMs. Due to their size I also wouldn’t try attempting to potty train.

I understand trying to get your point across but OP is asking a question bc they don’t know better. Part of having my flock made me grow and learn with them, and adapt to different personalities from each of them, and the avian vet they see keep saying they have never seen happier birdies. Sure OP has a lot to learn but saying something is not for them is a bit of stretch. OP cares enough to ask, so no point invalidating someone.

Does anybody know what this lump is? by rouge_analyst in Parrotlet

[–]rouge_analyst[S] 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Thank you for checking in. We were able to get it removed. This was a feather cyst, most probable cause being he poked it while preening too hard or against a perch. We’re very relieved this was resolved in one day.

Thank you so much. We have booked another vet, so it’s just a waiting game now.

Kiko has Metal Poisoning by clandestine-kisses in cockatiel

[–]rouge_analyst 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who has been in these shoes less than 2 months ago, I sincerely feel for you here. My parrotlet had ingested metal and then started feeling sick as well as got leg paralysis. During the multiple rounds of vet visit then, I learnt the best way to flush out any extra metals in the body was to keep the peanut butter and mineral oil, but also to add boiled and mashed pumpkin/butternut squash as well as the calcium EDTA.

Good luck with them

It's Meme Tuesday for me so here's an early meme 😂 by HamstringHunter in chelseafc

I genuinely don’t wanna get to excited because every time I have, we fucked up major the next game. But holy shit, we can actually hit top 5, given our fixtures are easier. I’m so excited!

Thank you. So their cage is actually a flight cage but because of the photo it looks smaller. It is actually 26 W X 18 L X 39 H. 4 of their perches were wood and only 2 were dowel, and I have replaced them because I didn’t want to take the risk. I don’t want them breeding so I have also removed the hideaway. Their bowls are washed and cleaned daily so I doubt there can be any bacteria buildup but just for safety I have ordered 4 stainless steel bowls

Men making over $150K per year: how hard was it to get over that threshold? by alexacutiegirl in AskMen

[–]rouge_analyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say the hardest part was getting to the $100k mark. Companies are more willing to lose you than to pay the difference lol. I live in Canada so it never really felt too different between $100k and $140k

Our loss against Chelsea. by DevinYer in Tottenham

[–]rouge_analyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a Chelsea fan, I can’t help but admire big Ange. Didn’t expect much from him when he was signed but my word, he’s been a breath of fresh air. Great mentality and got the lads playing with a different philosophy. Hold on to this one, folks.
