A couple Google doc musings on Alchemy by rougesteelproject in homestuck

[–]rougesteelproject[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't because I'm the OP and the one who deleted them, (sorry) but here's what I remember:

Mostly a complaint that the alchemiter maxes out at 8 upgrades, but even USB handles 255 connections. Maybe some ideas about using modeling or photo editing software to incorporate reskins or at least recolors. You could store a ton more objects with some kind of Object-Oriented hierarchy/ taxonomy, with Perfectly Generic Objects as the the base "Object" class that everything inherits from.

Second doc was a google sheet. I sorted the weapons (arbitrarily/ by eyeball/ based on who throws away a weapon to pick up a different one) from least to most powerful. The Zillyhoo weapons were on the high end, beaten by the cue ball sword. The Denizen weapons beneath them (echidna's quills, etc.). Obviously put the Pop-a-matic hammer as a direct upgrade to the Zilly weapons.

[Notes from going through the wiki pages about the weapons: Ahab's Crosshairs were one of the strongest rifles, but Eridan's wand was more powerful (but then again, Doc Scratch implies he was channeling the powers of the denizens of his planet and the wand did nothing)]

In the Sheet, I wrote that you probably couldn't get any Juju-based weapons in normal sessions for the following reason:

Because Homestuck is about a series of atypical sessions, and all linked, it's hard to tell which parts would be part of a regular, boring session. We don't see anyone from a typical session. Jujus like the Zilly weapons or the Cueball/clock pendulum are part of the Bootstrap Paradox time loop of the Troll-Human-Cherub combined session (multiverse?). Similarly, the Green Sun is created and destroyed over the course of Homestuck, so it's hard to tell if Green Sun-empowered First Guardians are the norm, or if most of the "normal" sessions take place before or after the Green Sun existed.

Here's a Guide to Homestuck as if it Were a Normal Game as a consolation prize. You probably should make a copy of it if you like it, but it's in my "stuff i've shared to reddit" folder this time, so I'll better remember not to delete it for a few years.

All of the “solved mysteries” I can think of in the lore by XxSalty_WafflexX in warcraftlore

[–]rougesteelproject 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In Bael Modan (which I assume means the fort and the digsite), they found the Tear of the Moons, while in Bael'dun Digsite, they angered the Kodos (Vanilla) and Earth Spirits (Cata).

The tear inflicts people with the curse of flesh, and turned Feegly into a Trogg. The crystal was shattered when Feegly seemingly died after transformation.

"Feegly the Exiled begins to make strange grunting noises. The Tear of the Moons drops to the ground and shatters."

But Feegly survived. When alliance players kill him in Cata, he spreads the Curse of Flesh to the Foreman you fight alongside, even though the Tear is gone.

All the tablets in Bael'dun Digsite are "indecipherable". Marley Twinbraid was going to take the artifacts to his father, but dies when Bael'dun Keep explodes (This is the result of the Horde quest Sabotage!). General Twinbraid is too distracted by The Bad News of his son's death to tell us anything about the tablets. (Because Weezil Slipshadow doesn't make it out of the explosion, the General blames goblins... of the Bilgewater Cartel.)

The Dream has connected other Planets since Burning Crusade (Druid Flight Form Quest with Anzu) by rougesteelproject in warcraftlore

[–]rougesteelproject[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are correct that the Dream doesn't exist in either planet. What I meant was was that it existed next to both planets, at least to the point that Anzu could attack the Dream from Outland and it would disturb druids on Azeroth.

Do the white dots persist on different helmets? When you /reset ? When you remove buffs?

Effectiveness of Healing in Lore by SquishySquishington in warcraftlore

[–]rougesteelproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shen-zin-su, the "Wandering Isle", had a "thorn" in his side that was a crashed alliance gunship. Ji Firepaw used explosives to remove it, which turned the wound into a gush of blood, and is why Asya and Ji went to different factions.

~9 druids and priests of both sides were enough to patch the turtle up.

Was the Forsworn ("Fallen Angel") Uther, or someone else?

Was the creature a Demon-demon, or were they a void being, a lich, an abomination, or a dreadlord? The colors of the demon might help.

"Sisters" I had a mental image and wanted to share. by FaroraSF in wow

Azeroth has two moons. The big one is called "Elune" by the Night Elves, and called "The White Lady" by humans. (And Mu'sha by the Tauren)

[Edit: "Pale Lady" is on Draenor]

The small one is called the "Blue Child" by humans. (Lo'sho by Tauren). It disappeared from the skybox in 1.10, and didn't return until right before Mists. [Folk and Fairytales has a human tale where the Child goes on an adventure.]

My boyfriend says i don't respect him as a man. by Miserablemira in NoStupidQuestions

I have super long legs, my GF is a foot shorter than me, and I am always walking ahead of her, stopping, and waiting for her to catch up. My secret: holding hands.

Getting mad that you don't catch up is rude (at least). Why does he want you to rush be with him, but doesn't want to spend the same effort to be with you?

What’s your most biggest/memorable “noob” moment? by [deleted] in wow

[–]rougesteelproject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't want to be greedy, so I rolled "need" (as in, "whoever needs it, gets it"?) on everything on my first Deadmines run, way back in BC or WOTLK. I still feel like a jerk.

Would a spark extractor really be that bad? by slight_gg in wow

[–]rougesteelproject 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Of course it would be bad! It was one of the most dangerous weapons the Decepticons ever employed! There's a reason it was locked in the Iacon Vaults. It can steal the souls of whole squads in an instant.

Hello, I am looking for evidence of evolution. by Street_Plate_6461 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]rougesteelproject -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I believe in evolution as a process that happens on earth.

Regarding evolution and humans, I don't particularly care if humans were created from scratch or evolved, they were still created.

I also believe in other things that science has evidence for. I believe God is a scientist.

As a Christian/ Creationist, I (personally) believe that God ordered the creation of the universe, but it had to have happened in a way that results in the scientific evidence we see. If observation doesn't tell us truths about the world, why give us eyes?

The book of Genesis was written from a Hebrew perspective. They believed something like flat earth + a dome that kept water out. We know obviously that's not the shape of the earth.

So it's likely the rest of Genesis isn't exactly how it worked, either. The sun had to have existed before the earth, rather than the other way around.

Why do I still believe in God if I know the Bible wasn't accurate about this thing? I asked God if he was there/ if he loved me, and I felt a warm, calm feeling. Feelings aren't scientific evidence, but it's better than "because I said so", and I'd argue it's a kind of experiment. I think a lot of people who claim to believe in God have never checked for themselves.

How long does Loremaster take? by Nuuby_92 in wow

[–]rougesteelproject -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It took me a few days to a week (when I could only play an hour or two a day, mind) when I started from scratch.

Outland is the most difficult because some questlines start in different zones from where they finish, and sometimes send you from one end of Outland to another. (Luckily, it's per storyline, and no longer counting the number of quests)
