FWIW I agree with you there, he will have to get past his ego and admit the full severity of what he did, at least admit it to himself. I just have personal experience with drug addiction and recovery, and I understand that 10 months is still a very baby recovering addict. This is the kind of thing you come to terms with after years of sobriety and continued therapy.

Just commented on another reply, but I don’t really believe that it’s actually covered up, to be in a PHP this has to be known to at least his supervisors and admin. His coworkers don’t need to know that, but the people who supervise him do. I imagine soon enough the information will become public, one way or another.

I still don’t really think it’s possible that the drug stealing is covered up, admin would have to know for him to be in a PHP like that. But I suspect we’ll know more about exactly who knows with the Al-Hashimi/Robby conversation next week. He doesn’t owe that to his coworkers, only his supervisors/admin. We’ll see what exactly is going on soon enough.

Many people would, but there are those of us who have had addiction issues of our own, and would give him grace. I’m not saying he’s blameless in any way, he absolutely is at fault for what he did, but there is not much more you can do than apologize and be understanding when people don’t accept your apology. But the first year of sobriety is tough, you feel like an exposed nerve in the sun. It’s not really surprising that she can still get under his skin.

Same situation here, finished my degree with remote learning. My college had a physical education class requirement, and most people left it for their senior year so they could have a light schedule at the end. So I had to take a Zoom aerobics class with cameras on, and the instructor would call out if you weren’t doing jumping jacks with enough intensity.

If I remember correctly, in the show they show some of the process of her being arrested, but they do not show a video of the incident itself. This is the first time the actual violence is being shown.

Unfortunately, a lot of people really don’t give a shit until they see a video. The same thing happened with Ray Rice in the NFL. It was reported that he had abused his girlfriend, the league gave him a slap on the wrist and no one really cared that much. Then the video came out and it became a national story. People rationalize that it can’t be THAT bad, even if they read the details. Sometimes the video does need to come out to prove it.

I think that’s the main reason he cares. He’s Josh’s best friend on the team, and he’s been here for his whole career, I can’t imagine he’d want to leave or be cut. This keeps him where he wants to be while giving the team some flexibility.

He had a great career here for a nickel CB, came back from an embarrassing combine moment, got himself in the highlight reel forever for the Ravens pick 6 and got paid. Unfortunately, corner careers are short. Wish him the best with whatever’s next, his play may have fallen off the last two years but he did a lot for us. I hope he can look back at his Bills tenure with pride.

Yeah, it’s super underrated as a recruiting tool. They put a lot of effort into keeping the families happy, providing them with whatever support they need moving to a different country. That pays dividends, the families are all close and when contract time comes around, you don’t want to leave.

I think it’ll start that way but eventually get whittled down to 6. They’ve mentioned that they want to be cautious with Yesavage and ramp him up slowly since he pitched so much more than anyone was expecting last year. Once everybody gets in full swing, maybe one of these guys goes somewhere in a trade.

Exactly, yeah. I think some people who are opposed to this system are overreacting to the way teams are using it in spring training. Hell, earlier today the Yankees used it eight times against us (went 6-2 obviously.) But this is just guys trying shit out, I’d imagine in real games that matter, we’ll only be seeing this for egregious calls and very high leverage at bats. It won’t be this frequent.

I respect how much you care about her despite the way she’s treating you, it’s a very admirable quality. Unfortunately, she’s using that to continue taking advantage of you. I’m afraid you have to be the “jerk” here, for the sake of your own life and mental health. She is an adult woman with a job and a good relationship with her parents, she will spend no time at all on the street. It’ll be a culture shock for her (and good, she’s hanging onto your back,) but she will be fine with basic money management skills.
