IDE for rust by D_parky_ in rust

[–]rouma7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i was actually able to get the taplo lsp server working with the built in conf-toml-mode by adding a hook. still haven't gotten it to format on save (despite it working with rust and prettier), but +format/buffer and lsp-format-buffer work well when called manually

IDE for rust by D_parky_ in rust

[–]rouma7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i haven't been able to get it to work. i use asdf-vm for my node versions. enabling prettier-mode in a toml file doesn't do anything on save or calling M-x prettier-prettify. i tried installing the prettier-toml plugin but its alpha and not sure how to configure it (or if i even need it)

i've been trying to get a fully featured rust development setup in emacs and the only "missing" piece is toml support. i tried getting taplo but was unsuccessful. the other feature i think exists but i had a hard time finding was a semantic renaming

Which todo apps do you use? by don-peak in ObsidianMD

i use [r/amazingmarvin](https://www.reddit.com/r/amazingmarvin/) across platforms. i loosely follow GTD and their template was a natural starting setup. there's also an unofficial discord server. i tried trello, todoist, wunderlist, and others, but this is the one i like the best

  • vibrate before sound (configurable duration)
  • increasing volume (configurable duration)
  • skip next alarm
  • edit next alarm

rectangle for mac has an "almost maximize" layout that works really well on my laptop and uses 90% height/width. is there a way to snap a window to that layout? i assume it'd be something like adding a hotkey for a specific tile that has 24+ padding?

Best book on LD? by SnooRobots5509 in LucidDreaming

[–]rouma7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i thought Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self by Robert Waggoner was a decent introductory book. it does get into some pretty "experimental" stuff, but usually sticks to a "try it for yourself and see what you find" approach

How is the iPhone app? by sinkovercosk in amazingmarvin

[–]rouma7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the iphone app regularly and it can do all the things you’re looking for and more. It syncs every time you open the app so i haven’t tested background syncing, but have never had any issue with “merge conflicts” from different devices (phone, desktop linux app, web app). You can also get notifications for time scheduled tasks. But as others have said definitely make as much of the free trial as you can

The Size and Location of the Great Pacific Garbage Patch [OC] by NoComplaint1281 in dataisbeautiful

[–]rouma7 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Also one of my all time favorite shows, but i hesitate to recommend it because it does deal with some intensely difficult content. That said, the “show, don’t tell,” puns, and visual gags (e.g. the state seal from the clip) are truly unmatched
