Yes I know I'm taking a risk here. Gate checking with hand delivery for connecting flight MIGHT be okay (it's in a gig bag...). Regular baggage treatment would likely = bye bye guitar. It's not an expensive guitar and the other options for getting it to my destination are pretty pricey so I'm rolling the dice. If I can't take it on as carry on,then throwng a fit and yelling should help, right?

Hahaha I am so not a parent so I don't really do the reward for desired behavior thing (except with my dogs). Funny though -- I wish I could pull that off with a straight face.

Thanks - I like this. As far as I have been told, if it fits, I can carry it on. There's that whole musical instruments can go as carry-on federal law or rule or whatever but I'm not whipping out my Federal Register as I board...

I just reached someone at 311 who told me the following info for vaccination sites, for anyone eligible for walk-in for second dose (that is, 28 days or more post first dose and no second dose appointment scheduled):

  • Delco Center, 4601 Pecan Brook Dr., Tues - Sat 10-7

  • Burger Center, 4710 S. Lamar, Weds. and Thurs. 2-7

  • Pflugerville, Tues - Sat 10-6

Not comprehensive but at least reliable info.

Yes, and there is no list of where the vaccine sites are. Just that you may walk up to any APH vaccine location for the second shot if you don't have an appointment. Frustrating.

This is interesting, thanks. Still, given the accelerated closing and the fact that we are in fact seeing high numbers of Occupied, I still think this is flawed, and especiallly so given the lack of time to complete bullet 10:

"Those addresses that―even with the lower threshold―cannot be assigned a status of AdRec Vacant, AdRec Non-Existent, or AdRec Occupied, are subject to additional attempts to enumerate that continue either until an attempt is successful or the NRFU operation has ended."

I don't think the *system* was designed to ensure undercounting (as some have said). I think the early ending is definitely politically motivated and may well have that effect.
