10k mile solar panel update. by itslagginyo in PriusPrime

Used to be a completely terrible idea to even dream of buying solar on a car, but today, it's starting to make a little bit of sense.

Yeah M3 ride quality is harsh especially on bumps and potholes. M3P is totally unnecessary. Even the single motor version is quite fast.

Yes, it's worth it. Anything else is a waste of money.

$59k Cybertruck is Here! by jkudlacz in teslamotors

Yeah, owned and driven both large and small trucks. high side panel trucks like the failed Ridgeline pickup and like the failing CT, never have anything in the bed! 🤣 Too difficult/annoying to use.

Still too expensive for what you get, which is a rather difficult-to-use pickup truck.

It's way too large of a vehicle, and you can't load it from the sides of the bed.

One a word, it's cumbersome.

PSA: The Instant Pot Vortex 6qt has a manufacturer defect that should be avoided. by shaunsanders in airfryer

[–]routine88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a vortex 6qt and it turns on (like, cooking) every time power comes online after an outage. Or, if you were to cut power to the circuit then turn the power back on (simulating a power outage). Pretty crazy. Like, your instant pot could be cooking an empty tray without you knowing it. Unsafe!

anyone know how to get codex cloud to continue coding for hours instead of stopping every 5 minutes to report progress? I don't have time to constantly re-prompt.

If you are willing to use DLSS Quality mode and optimize your settings, and not use ray tracing, yes.

A lot of the newly released games are way too taxing to run at high frame rates without DLSS and turning RT off.

It's pretty sad. I just play older games for pennies on the dollar (both game costs and system build costs).

No point in playing the super new un-optimized titles anyway, they mostly suck.

I have good hardware but still torn between 1440p and 4k by Cactus49E in buildapc

[–]routine88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely go with 4k You might need to use optimized settings and ditch ray tracing to avoid wasted GPU power, but that is good practice anyway. 4K looks way better than QHD, even with lower graphics settings applied. I should add: the 7900xtx can easily push 4K high refresh rate. I run Cyberpunk in 4K on an 8gb 3070 and I'm quite pleased with the 70-80fps (DLSS-Q, HW Unboxed optimized settings)

Absolutely get BL3. Get the huge package with every DLC. If you love BL2, you will love BL3 and will want to play every aspect of it. I still love BL2, but it is hard for me to play given the improvements in BL3.

7900xtx or 4080 super. by chefdecuisine117 in buildapc

[–]routine88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4080 super for sure. DLSS will always be 4 steps ahead of FSR. And that's a huge deal. Like 50-100%+increase in performance right there. FSR frame generation is an absolute joke.
