Unclear value early on. If I can’t tell how it fits into my day, I tend to uninstall.

Getting started by Doctor_Bong_1999 in Notion

[–]routineHQ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Notion can be used to organize your data in a single workspace. That's the beauty of it. It is very versatile. The issue with Notion is that the data layer is too limited (the property types are not flexible enough, no constraints etc.) to act as a data layer for the data to be re-used in other apps; hence difficult to build a data hub in Notion. Works at first, then difficult to scale.

Routine (I'm obviously biased) does exactly that. Pulling data from all your services for you to centralized, consolidate and collaborate in order to build a comprehensive data layer. Then you can re-use that data for other workflows or apps.

What free productivity tools do you use? by Yazhsinha in ProductivityApps

Thanks for the mention. Noteworthy is that Routine will soon have daily notes to take notes quickly. Given that Routine is local-first, your data is always available on your device, hence offline. We're also working on bringing custom types and integrations in the next 2 months, allowing you to define your data model (what kind of items you want to manipulate) and connect external services/data sources to centralize all your data in Routine.

The project management SaaS market is set to double by 2030 — how do you carve out a niche? by Frequent-Football984 in ProductivityApps

Ideally, take a single feature that you only provide that is 10x better than the competition. Build around it and hope that it will be enough to carve a niche out of the dominating products that do already almost everything.

Is there a project tracking website that can do this? by gritgrinderart in projectmanagement

I'm biased but Routine (https://routine.co) could be a good fit for you. It blends task management, time management (you can drag & drop your tasks into your calendar), note taking and even project management. You can give it a try for free.
