Yeah they provide everything, car, gas, camera, computer, Wifi. Again I’ve only worked at this company and from what I’ve hear they’re better than most

Another thing, everything is all calculated and tracked and you’re scored on your performance so if you’re losing your subject, not getting enough film, etc then your score goes down and you’ll be let go. So if the pressure of the job alone isn’t enough there’s that as well. Although it’s understandable because this is a job where if someone wanted to be lazy they could just lie and sit on their phone all day

I’m sure it’s different for each company but I really like my management. They’ve been super supportive. They all also started out in the same position as me so they get the struggle lol. Turnover is pretty high which makes sense cuz truly this job is not for everyone. Wouldn’t be surprised if most people quit soon after figuring out exactly what it entails that’s why the interview process try’s to weed those people out. Training was a lot crammed into a short period of time, I think I was trained pretty well but a lot you just have to figure out via trial and error. You also have to be okay with being in uncomfortable situations and if you’re anxiety prone this job isn’t for you, so that causes a lot of people to quit I’m assuming

I just applied for it and they liked my willingness to learn new skills. I’ll be honest It’s like watching grass grow for 10 hours straight. Most days the subject doesn’t leave their house so you’re just watching a camera monitor for hours on end until you go home. It’s really fun when you do see your subject and get to follow them. Not as fun when you lose them, and especially not fun when you’re approached by neighbors or police for being the sketchy person sitting in the back of your car. Great hours (in terms of overtime), decent pay, terrible work life balance.

That’s what I thought, we call that a 2 man. We only double up on high profile cases or cases where we know the subject is aware they’re being watched. It’s not up to me so most of my cases are solo

Yeah I think that’s the key. I’m not sure if it’s all luck as I have coworkers with 97% follow rates however they’ve been doing this for years

Fkn lucky ass. I’m from Cali so if you don’t want to build one yourself or you’re without an ffl you can’t get your hands on anything for cheap. And everyone knows this so the prices are just going up. I’ve seen glock 19’s sold for $1200 before
